    I am running the
    $48 Dayco 5080695 Serpentine Belt , Black
    Dayco 5080695 Heavy Duty belt. It is an 8 rib belt, one inch shorter than stock that you need to trim 3 ribs off of. It is waaay beefier than the others I had on there. With a 2.5 pulley you are taking 7/8" off of the total belt distance so a shorter belt is definitely recommended as it puts the tensioner almost in the same position as the stock length belt with 3.0 pulley.

    Trimming the ribs off is easy. Put a razor blade in a vise and pull the belt carefully through the razor blade.

    It doesnt matter. Cut is super clean if your careful.

    Just make sure it looks like the not trimmed side when you first start. You will be able to tell if you are cutting away too much or not enough.

    Then that is the correct amount of boost. You may maybe peak at 8.5 psi but that I'd about as rare as me seeing 11 psi on mine, (which I have seen in the past).

    Also keep in mind, boost does NOT make power. Flow does! When you free up everything before and after the head boost drops due to less restriction but flow and hp increase.
    I see 9psi and have roughly 415hp hp at the crank.

    Got the truck smogged today with the UCON. No problems! I did put the factory intake back on for that, though.

    Mhm.. exactly! People get too hung up on boost and don't realize that flow is much more important than boost numbers.

    If anything boost is an indication of restriction in the engines ability to suck and blow.
