I saw DSM posted this as a comment on one of their IG posts.

Definitely glad I picked up my king setup awhile back, and still appreciate the info from you @Coot83

Got my wheel spacers, upper control arms, and ordered a 3/4" spacer lift. Now do I do 35s and 4.88s first or Chevy 63 swap?

    I'm thinking 63 swap.

I'm not a big fan of 4.88s. You lose a tooth on the pinion, and you'll be pretty high in the revs on 35s. (Explained better here. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/4-56-vs-4-88-gears.132970/#post-2586130 ) 4.56s were great to me on 35s. A little lower than stock getting, but still driveable on the highway. They did extremely well off road for me too. What shocks are you going to do with the 63s? SOA or SUA? What shackle?

Looked between king and bilstein, and will probably go with the bilstein 5160 because it has a couple more inches of travel. I will probably get 18" shocks and air bumps. Going to do SOA, probably a 5" shackle. I kind of want to push off gears and tires because I want to do a front arb at the same time. Don't mind the low gearing I can take the wife's outback if I need to drive far.

18s are kind of long right? I’m going to 16s and that’s with LT through the bed.

Supposedly you can do 16s without cutting the bed a d 18s require to cut the bed. I will be doing some measuring before I cut the bed to see what will work best

So, it’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I just came back from the Toyota Jamboree in Gilmer, TX. What a great time I had and as I Could only take one vehicle, I took my hundo. It’s got a larger lift and better equipped to run trails. That being said, I tossed a couple hundred bucks into the raffle and made out like a bandit. Dobinson suspension, Prinsu rack loads of gift certificates and and full on ARB for my taco. I just wanted to share this incredible thing that happened to me. Thanks to the Toyota Jamboree staff to whom without I may not have made it to my Cruiser in one piece.

Long time no talk on here but recent been hearing a clunk in the rear when going over bumps. Thought the bed might be loose but went under and pulled the boot on the drivers side rear shock and saw this.

I was able to bang the end cap back on but it still clunks.

Is it pooched or can it be fixed? Being in Canada, direct replacement is probably not an option as we never got the Baja model here.

I think it happend last year when I had to overload my truck a lot over the summer halling sandbags20180413_154036.jpg .

From my talks with Toyota, I believe you just have the correct VIN for a Baja like mine or yours and you can receive the suspension. Otherwise you can’t. Don’t know the specifics of Canadian Tacomas though. Hope it all goes well.

Applied them yesterday thanks to you.

I removed the "T/X Baja Series" stickers as well as chrome emblems. I kept the red "TRD" emblem of course. Prepare yourself, mall speed bumps.

Thanks, brother! I know a lot of people don't like the large decal but I personally fell in love with the look the moment I saw the Baja online. When I bought this truck back in May 2013(shipped from Putnam Toyota, but that's another story:rolleyes:), it didn't have the large decal that I've been admiring. Five years later, lol, it finally happened. This'll be the only time I'm saying this but holy shit the curves on the body were annoying!

So, it’s the officially the weekend and low and behold I was greeted at the door by FedEx. They had for me some MR59-50220s for my Tacoma courtesy of Dobinsons USA and @Dobinsons Mike. I can’t wait to slap these on.

Mounted the ARB yesterday. Took about 4 hours for install time, about 6 of tinkering and adjustment.

Very nice. How much sag did you get in the front suspension?
