My truck finally arrived and could not be happier. After having a lot of issues with my Nismo Frontier I finally bought what I probably should have initially. My wife picked out the color...yes I'm keeping her and keeping the truck : )

First Mod was installing the Toyota Blackout Emblems which included the rear tailgate as well. I removed the V6 Emblem off Tailgate instead of blacking out.

I'm a technician by trade and worked at dealerships for roughly 10 years as well as doing a lot of detail work on the side. Dealers will always try and sell "Paint Sealants" or "10 Year Wax" and so forth for anywhere from $500 to well over $1000. I do not think any of them are worth spending that much money but I always tried out everything they offered on my own vehicles. The only one that I was truly impressed by and still use years later is Simoniz Glasscoat. It looks like you sprayed another coat of clear on and it lasts a LONG time. I will usually prep paint, apply Simoniz, let cure overnight and then apply Collinite 845. Yes the Simoniz is not supposed to be sold outside of dealers but it is fairly easily found online (I don't sell it). One bottle will do 1-2 vehicles on average. Very easy to apply. This has been out for a while and much better than a lot of the other ceramic coatings/sealants out there and I've tried many!

If I had known the 18's were gonna have Cement in the offroad, I would have waited. Love this color.

TRD Pro Baja Road Review :

Been driving truck all day running errands and here is my initial review on the Baja kit which are a few still around for sale. This is Road review as have not went off-road to test yet. Ride quality over stock O/R is firmer but better and definitely not harsh. It soaks up bumps better. I have no additional weight added to my truck as well. 650lb springs are what these come with so I have room to grow in my opinion. Braking is what made a large difference. These have virtually no brake dive and feel much more confident in braking and turning. Quality is clearly there with them being a tested and proven setup. Would I say these are worth their original price of around $1800? That's hard to say without seeing how they perform off-road as well. For someone looking for OEM reliability, fit with more function over lift...I'd say yes. These fit the bill exactly for me. I'll update with more time with them...

    AFE Pro Dry S Review

Driven approximately 3 tanks full of mixed driving since this has been installed. I did do the suspension in that time as well. Quality of filter is excellent. I have used on multiple vehicles with good results especially in my MK7 GTI. This made a noticeable but not drastic change in pedal response. Id say it is worth the money for that alone. I have not tried the Pedal Commander to compare the difference that makes. Gas mileage is essentially the same overall which I see as an improvement as did and do normally see a decrease in MPG with a lift and larger tires even though my setup is modest to most. Overall definitely recommend especially if needing normal replacement.

If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you pay for your trd Baja suspension kit? And did you go with AAL in the rear? Truck is looking amazing  cement is the best color, but then again I’m biased :anonymous:

I’ve seen a lot about ceramic coatings recently, and have been tempted to try one. But I’m interested in the glass coat you did, is that applied the same way as a ceramic coating?

I paid $700 for the kit. No AAL in rear. Factory OR Leaf Pack just with extended travel shocks.

It is a ceramic glass coat so application is very similar while this one being fairly easy to put on. Vehicle must be prepped just like you would sealant or wax and on cool panels so not in sunlight. I used a small applicator pad and usually have two or three good microfibers at hand. Apply one or two panels at a time and let start to slightly dry and then polish with microfiber. I let cure overnight before driving. Can put multiple coats but I have not found much benefit over one good one. I do apply Collinite 845 Wax over after Glasscoat has cured 24hrs. It has been around before the "ceramic craze" and I have found to work a lot better than most.

You got a good deal, I myself got in on the trd pro kit which is basically the same thing except for the springs (600lbs). Do you have bro lean? If I didn’t install the AAL, my truck looked like it was ready to blast off the front nose was pointing to the sky lol

Thank you for the reply! I might give that a try then, I’ve never done a ceramic coating but I have always done all my own detailing. I think I should be able to figure it out as long as I do a lot of research.
