Ya it's really nothing though. You use a gallon for every 50 gallons of gas and it's about $6 a gallon. If you can afford the diesel option to start with then I'd hope you can afford the def lol.

Consistently low lol. Ya I guess it's not exactly true in all cases, with low enough gearing and enough torque you won't notice much of a difference in a gasser either.

Hope they give it a bit more beef than the New Zealand Diesels in the Hilux .. the Ranger 3.2L turbo diesel is drinking awesome and kicks the Hiluxs butt. The Ranger is still dominating the Hilux, the Nissan Navara and the Colorado

Because they would sell like a thousand of them. Very few want diesel outside this forum. So Toyota is gonna train all their techs and dealers and add a new for 'murica powerplant to sell a thousand trucks?

Help! How much gasoline will ruin my diesel??

We have never touched a green nozzle to fill up our Tacos, someone’s going to forget it sooner or later.

That’s still an extra $150 a month for the average person.

I’d do a Tacoma hybrid if it came in DCLB.

They will eventually have to switch to a diesel engine if they want to compete with the market. All domestic brands have some diesel variant already. Tacoma with a diesel would sell even more than it is now.

If this is the case why doesn't Toyota make a 3/4 ton or larger

My thoughts are that they are very successful with the Tacoma and Tundra. So no new truck model is necessary. If Toyota is worried about the price increase on a diesel model, worry not, plenty would still buy it. Look at the ridiculously overpriced Pro version.

Your logic was everyone else doing so Toyota should to be competitive. That's not the case, that's why I said why don't they make a 3/4 ton then. An American, diesel Toyota is not going to likely happen, plain and simple.
