Blows my mind how slowly traffic on 80 flows. Left my house at the usual time on a Friday, went out to pleasant hill to meet @EDDO then took 24/580 out to SF. Multiple fires along 24 with multiple lanes blocked, and a slow down going to 580. Still got to SF at exactly the same time I always do.

Could you buy them from Amazon, assemble them, mark them up, and still deliver? Might make some money still. It’d be the budget option.

Although I’m assuming they’re not as quality as what you already sell...

    Traffic today was absolutely terrible.

Also @EDDO my buddy let his brother borrow his Silverado. The white one that was in Pismo at my camp. Spit on it for me when you see it. They’re around where you will be this weekend.

MSRP is 599, we lowered our price to 395. Then Amazon drops 233. I have called the national sales rep about what a clusterfuck MSRP is and why they dont have Minimum Advertised Price rules. We'll see what happens.
They (amazon) may not actually have the scooters though. I had someone call me from NJ the other day. Had ordered off amazon but they sent him the wrong scooter, twice. So amazon then offered him to pay for one of our scooters including shipping. Drop shipped one from the Florida warehouse and got paid. Still though Ive lost at least 5 other sales this week alone

I still get wholesale cheaper than them, so no. But the issue is they are selling THE SAME SCOOTER for 61% off MSRP and the manufacturer has basically said they dont know how amazon can do that. We'll get back to you :frusty:

They do this with a lot of product. I bought an ARB fridge off of Amazon and they sent me a knockoff. The purchase was for an ARB and that wasn’t what was delivered. I called customer service and they sent me another fridge to replace it. It was another knockoff. I returned both and they refunded my money and then suggested to buy from another retailer. That other retailer was 20 percent more expensive. It took them almost two months to remove the knockoff retailer. I was trying to replace my old Dometic. I think I’ve got a replacement Dometic lined up now though, so no worries on my part.

Yeah that’s rough. Amazon is a strange company and typically loses money on their prime sales but makes it up in other departments. This article from a year ago explains it. https://www.geekwire.com/2017/true-...annual-shipping-losses-top-7b-first-time/amp/

Hopefully it gets better for you.

That’s where Amazon is failing IMO. They have such a massive inventory that their quality control is lagging. 3rd party sellers are pretty unregulated right now and can cause some major issues. Read an article about a woman getting a 7k shipping charge by a 3rd party seller and Amazon said she was SOL at first but eventually made it right months later.

Another problem is a lot of stuff sold on Amazon is not sold by Amazon, and they do not verify their sellers very well, which is why you get cases where the stuff you get is not what you ordered. In publishing there's a big problem with people selling knockoff printed books on Amazon

even when stuff is sold 'by Amazon', they sometimes co-mingle inventory of vendor supplied stuff thats 'sold by xxx shipped by amazon' with their own stock, and counterfeit/grey market stuff gets mixed in with legit stuff.

You're telling me I got out of napa at 2:30 like any other day and didn't get home until after 5. It's normally an hour and a half drive. I can't imagine if I had to stay on 80 after 505
