Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I'm guessing without the dongle you don't need to go through the license part? I'm about to go try it out. I just got mine in and installed everything minus the whole dongle thing. Going to give it a shot... lol Wish me luck

Can a custom tune request support a recalibration of speedometer for larger tirrs.

Still love truck much more after tune.

Sorry to keep everyone waiting, I figured it would actually be easier this way rather than people getting software and then asking for their license code while I'm on a plane and unavailable for 2 days. 18 hours in the air sucks.

I do have a bunch of emails to sort and some guardant dongle requests to send out to waiting folks, so please bear with me.

First post here, I’m on about post #5000 of this thread. I just dropped my 2017 AT off at the dealer due to the missing (stuttering, fluttering) issue at light throttle between 1400 & 2200 rpm’s. I talked to the tech and he said he’d never seen one do what mine is doing, so I’m not sure it’s the same issue some of you are seeing. He’s going to send data to Toyota on Monday. I have the shift TSB and newer CKP sensor installed. @OVTune, how can I know if my missing issue is the one your tune fixes?

 

Does it still do it when you run premium gas? I know that “slight miss” or slip/stutter feeling for me is very noticeable (much more so without the tune) on 87 but no such thing with 93/premium

Yep, I’ve tried different octanes for multiple tanks. I’m not the original owner. From what I’m reading about the early issues with 1.02, I wonder if my truck has that tune in it and the previous owner just traded the truck.

 

I just reflashed 91 octane tune.....currently left idiling for 20 mins. Will report back.
I had the 1.04 and 87 octane tune.

 

I'm tempted to go back to the stock tune just to see the difference again lol
