FYI, I installed mine today, have never taken the grill off before but I followed the instructions posted by a fellow member earlier in this thread. Unfortunately, I ordered a 1E7 colored matched grill on ebay and it appears to be 1F7 (no markings on the grill to indicate color, ebay dealer says this has happened in the past). I did my best to compare on prior the color before installing and it looked very close but once on the truck, it looks pretty off so I needed to remove it. The lower inner clips on the faux grill have been impossible for me to get them to release. I did the OEM clips in 2-3 minutes without any issues, I am 30+ minutes in trying to get the inner clips on the faux grill to release and havent even gotten one yet. The large outer clips released fine. Has anyone had to remove their faux grill yet and had any difficulty? Thanks.

Looks great, out of curiosity what LEDs did you use? I’m replacing my current grill with raptor light mod with this new faux pro style. Debating on if I should do the light mod again. Nighttime pic for reference. C2FD776B-B377-4641-AF54-D7DD90FB0FDD.jpg

Whew, was finally able to remove it, broke one clip in the process, the plastic on the faux grill is much less pliable, edges on the clips sharper and shape slightly different all make it very difficult to remove. Good luck to all that need to try this in the future.

I got mine in this morning. I've thought about color matching the surround, but honestly don't think the chrome looks bad with the black paint. Much appreciation to fellow posters, as it made install a breeze!

    I like it, reminds me of a 1990 TOYOTA Pick-Up 4x4. :)

Installed the grill today, Anyone else have to locally source the screws to mount the TOYOTA logo? The screws for the edge of the logo were a bit short, the screws were the correct length for the middle of the logo however.

Question for folks who have already made the grille swap...

How did you get the tab out (the one next to the pop screw without breaking it?
    IMG_20180519_152813.jpg

Also there appear to be 6 other (smaller) clips alog the bottom. Do those need to be unclipped somehow also?

Lol! I was just having that same moment... But no luck yet. Apparently some folks have a much easier time. What does the hole look like after the grille is removed?
