Pretty much that.

 

Changed Engine & Cabin air filters and removed the engine air fitler box and cleaned that out. Amazing how much sand, dirt and general grit makes it up that far.

 

Superwhite grill came in today! Now off to debadge the truck.

 

Built a simple rack to hold my 2nd set of wheels/tires.

 

To go along with the influx of Pro grills... I mounted the surround to the grill. Will install tomorrow when the paint is fully cured

I will be doing the same thing, as I just picked these up from TW member GR8fl today. 265/75/R16, in very good condition!!

 

The taco got mostly ignored today as I was working on the boat with a buddy, buuuuuut I did decide to cover my nipple

 

I did the thing all the cool kids are doing.

Bought this Power Stop brake kit about a year ago and just getting around to throwing them on. Found out Discount Tire cross threaded one of my lugs... Few expletives later and some brute strength I broke it off, quick trip to O'Reilly's solved that and thankfully they had a few in stock.





Rotors were frozen on and a HUGE pain in the ass to get off. Mallet pictured was not sufficient, I found a 5lb sledge hammer that did the trick.



New stud was also a huge pain in the ass to seat. I use the stacked washers trick after failing at other methods.



Went through the proper pad seating procedure. Good stopping power and no squeaks so far. I like the way they look through the wheels, but I'm a bit worried about premature pad wear and rocks getting into the holes/slots when off roading...



Rest of my Saturday will be spent doing an oil change, flushing the power steering fluid, and wiring up my 3rd brake light and LED dome light for the new-ish canopy

 

Not long after getting Kailie's Yaris I started going through it doing all the basic maintenance, fluid changes, etc., etc. When I pulled the engine air flter out, it was actually not too bad. But holy f**k did the bottom of the air box look rough. It was like a lost and found....a little bit of everything in there.

8 years and 126k miles. Guarantee that was the first time it had ever been cleaned out.

 

EVERY time Discount Tire dismounts my tires/wheels, the first thing I do when I get home is break out my torque wrench. I've had the lug nuts tightened between 44 and 135lb/ in.

 

It may also have been my first time doing it.

I also used my shop vac (1 1/4" hose) with the brush attachment and stuck it as far down the air intake hose as far as it would go and twisted it around while pulling it out. Used duct tape on the attachment just in case.

 

Discount Tire Direct is great, but my local Discount Tires (yes, plural) SUCK. Can't ever seem to have a good experience. They either scratch a wheel, try to sell my useless shit, or over-torque my lugs. And this time... cross thread my shit.

 

Looks great. One thing that can help get the rotors off is using bolts in the 2 holes you seen on the rotor hat. Just run them in, alternating back and forth between the bolts. The rotor will walk right off. No hammer needed

Just recently did this myself.

My new rotors don't have the removal holes. So I made sure to put antiseize on the back of the hat and around the hub bore

 

I am remarkably bad with wiring, but managed to do an alright job installing these loud ass horns today

 

Wow, that makes sense. Thanks for the tip! In hindsight, I should've done a bit more research so I wouldn't have wasted so much time removing the rotors.
