Left early this morning for the annual Sweet 16 Shoot (16 ga.). Tired, sore, wore out and feel great. First time shooting in 6 months and did outstanding. Good friends some I see once a year some haven't seen in many. And some new ones. Great time made lots of empty purple hulls to reload again.

One friend on my squad had one of the new FAIR SxS guns and let me shoot it, almost made me. And I almost didn't give it back and he "made" me shoot it after that. It was his retirement present to himself. I like that idea. Pretty much everyone there would qualify for the 50+. And the 60+ group. Feel like we are a dying breed. But what a great time. Except now I need to budget for another gun.

Congrats on passing the test! I really need to do that, where I spend the fall in Superior NF there is no cell phone reception or anything else for that matter. The Forrest Service monitors and uses a few channels in the NF and Boundary Waters. It could save my life someday. I keep thinking about it, but never do it. Sorry to hear about the daughters boyfriend, ouch.

Never fasted for that long, but am on day 13 of Atkins Induction. I have done it on and off over the years for weight control. Long term it can have some effects you have to watch out for. From my understanding fasting accelerates those effects especially mood and behavior changes. Not sure I would ever go that long fasting. Then again others would tell you 6 months of Atkins induction is not good for you either. But has always resulted in the best blood work I have ever had. 6 days of fasting seems like a long time to me, just be safe!

Busy day with the camper. I stripped all the stuff off the tongue and moved it into the garage last weekend..

I added a additional cross member, extened the tongue 20", and added the trailer side of a lock and roll hitch

    Evening Everyone !!!:hattip:

Just got back home from a friend's house after getting some work done on my Camaro

Did some ignition upgrades with some MSD Ignition parts and a hotter coil . My motor really responds well to the hotter spark . Found out you don't want to touch the coil when the engine is running , its going to really hurt !!!

 evening boys.... anyone have cliff notes from today :anonymous:

Some of you guys will laugh at this (or be disgusted - I am) Ex was in Vegas and spent a couple of days with son, while he was there for business.... then DIL and Grandbabies arrived.... he NEVER SAW THEM!!! He has NEVER SEEN the baby and it's been 18+ months for the older one. Granted he has a bad back, but his excuse was "you know we can't walk much". So instead of saying we'll see you for lunch/dinner, they packed up and headed back to Utah. What do we tell the kids, when they ask how come grandpa wasn't in the pictures or how come we didn't see him, when he was there at the same time? :annoyed: I don't get it... I'd move heaven and earth to see the kids especially if they were in the same town.

It never makes sense. My father never made a move to ever have any contact with me at all. It wasn't until after I graduated High school and was 18 I got my Mother to get me in contact with him. The asshole never paid any child support either. The last time I saw him was probably 9 years ago when i took one of my daughters to meet my Grandmother and he happenned to be there

I feel bad for my son, actually both of them, since they were both out there - that dad could be so..... I don't know, uncaring....

Sorry you had to deal with that.... doesn't know what he missed out on.

IDk Sue maybe maybe not. It may be where I get the abillity to walk away from people I've known for years and never speak to them again if they piss me off. If he's that big a sorry ass maybe I was better off. just like maybe your Grand babies are better off. As a Father who loves his daughters and has always been active with them I couldn't even imagine not having them in my life.
