Now that is it getting colder in the mornings (mid 30s), my 06 exhaust upfront is LOUD @ a coldstart. It almost sounds like an manifold leak but goes away once warmed up. Its pretty predominant. Truck has 21k and is an auto V6 fwiw. I know the exhaust TSB is about a "tick" which honestly due to horrible hearing couldn't tell you if it ticked or not. But I HEAR the cold start issue. There is no mistaking it. Guess its time for a a drop off at the dealer so they can hear it too.

Colder weather climate owners, does your truck do this?
    Thanks in advance.

have you checked the connections of your add ons to your exhaust? As the metal expands, it could hide any loose connections, so check it when it is cold.

It's only gotten into the 50's here in Conn. but into the 40's tonight. I'll be listening in the morning.

I'm thinking exhaust, muffler, and headers. I believe that some of the cat back kits are bolt on.
