Randon entune question

Hey all, hopefully can answer a question for me. I have a 2017 Tacoma with the Entune premium head unit. I listen to usb stick and in random mode about 99% of the time and I don't shut it off before I shut the truck off. I will start the truck up and the audio is off, which is not a big deal...so I just hit usb and enjoy my tunes. Anyone know why it shuts off randomly? Is there a fix for this? I searched and didn't find anything. Thanks for any help in advance.

 

Nope, just another bad programming issue in the entune. Drives me nuts, it's completely stupid. I could understand if it took in a few seconds to read at truck start up then started playing.

 

Thanks. It is just weird it will go weeks and work just fine and then act up for a couple of days and go back to working just fine

 

So sometimes it comes on when you start the truck? Mine never has.

 

It does most of the time if I leave it on.

So is yours not working right when it plays after start up, or is mine not working right because it doesn't start on it's own after firing the truck up.

 

Good question. I would think it should start playing upon startup....just like any other car or truck. I have a Chevy work truck, company supplied truck, radio plays upon startup.

 

Are you talking radio (fm stations) coming on, or are you talking the USB being played. Cause my radio if that's what was on when I shut off the truck, will play when started, the USB doesn't.

 

USB. I have shut the truck off with the usb playing and start the truck later and have the radio come on instead.

 

If I'm listening to USB and shut truck off, nothing is playing when I turn it on. Radio if last on, will be on when I start truck.

Hope nobody minds I'm going to piggy back a question.
When I play my USB and choose an artist I cannot get it back to play just random songs/artists off the USB. I have to manually choose different artists if I want to hear different songs. I've tried taking it out and putting it back in. I've tried taking it out and turning the truck off, starting the truck with no USB. No matter what I do it always remembers the artist and song and I cant get it to just play random songs from every artist.
Anyone know how to reset this thing so it thinks I am sliding in a fresh USB? I don't have the JBL system just whatever comes standard on the TRD offroad.
