What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Bought it new in 1996, GT Vertigo, and still ride it around with the kids. I get quite a few comments, yours seems to be the most popular. “Wish I would have kept mine” hahaha I’ll never let that bike go. And thank you.

I live in a small town. It's Discount, NTB (which is even worse) or Walmart (no way in hell!). I've gotten into the routine of checking the psi and retorquing the lug nuts.
I bitch about it every time but it does no good.

 

While I was at the dealership yesterday test drove a 2018 trd sport. Liked the comfort. But I have not driven an auto in over 18 yrs. Seemed like it constantly shifting.

 

Oil changed, tires rotated, full tank with some Lucas injector cleaner and replaced cabin filter.. good day!!

 

Looks like your cabin filter still had some life in it

 

1)Chrome sanded down
2)Three coats adhesion promoter
3)Three coats white sandable primer
4)Wet sanded
5)Three coats white sandable primer
6)Wet sanded

Welp have to replace my trans, is $1,100 from LKQ w/ 1 year warranty only (50,000 miles) a good price?

 

Convert it to a 6mt will be much happier. But 1100 installed around here that's a steal. Whatch for hidden fees. Our basic tranny replace here is 2300. Tail light warranty. That's doing a junkyard swop.

Finally got some time and installed the pop&lock and spruced up the tailgate with some outdoor carpet I had laying around.

 

Actually used it as a truck. Lol.
