Not sure how to remove it but I'd just give it a real good wash/scrub with some kind of delicate but effective cleaner, like a diluted Simple Green solution. There was another member on here that had that happen...forget his username...but he mentioned using a water repellant spray on his tent after cleaning the mold off and it worked well to keep it from getting moldy again.

Hey please help! Does anyone know the length of the steal spring rods that hold the windows open on their RTT’s? I just need any tent model or models so I can take an average guess for mine. I am on a long 11 day road trip and forgot mine at home so I picked up so 3/16 rods at ACE Hardware to make some when we get to our camp tonight. But I’d like to hear an average length! Thanks for the help!!

Ok I'm trying to put my annex on my CVT Mt Ranier. WHY THE HELL IS IT SO DIFFICULT???

I have a zippered "snake" that's about 12 feet long. I have 2 channels for the annex to slide into, 2 aluminum brackets about 18 inches long with a slight bend on each end, and I'm running out of patience. I need a tutorial of some kind, can't find a youtube or instructions on cvt's site. Help me Obi Wan, you're my only hope!

FYI to those wanting to buy a RTT, you can get the nice 20% off with the REI sale until May 28th.

Our local REI only had the Yakima RTTs in stock last time they had their 20% off sale...and the reviews on those RTTs are pretty bad (poor quality and lots of leaking, mostly.) I'd steer clear of those if they offer other brands where you are

Tepui is sold at REI too. They can order them into the store for pickup without you paying a dime for shipping.

No on the Yakima brand RTTs. Tepui is a solid choice as far as I know. I have the Tuff Stuff Overlander tent myself, it's great but not sold at REI. $800 though if you get it in person at their warehouse.

Yes but not by me. I was going to make one after seeing this one around the interweb for a few years. Finally tracked down its last owner to see if I could take some pics to see the design. He happened to be an hour away from me and didn't want it anymore so I bought it!

If anyone wanted to build one it would be pretty easy. This one is overkill IMO as it uses like 3/16 aluminum over 2 inch square tube. So its heavy.
