So I'm not looking to drop 6k for a Fabtech 6'in lift and 34 inch tires and wheel.

Was talking to a buddy, anyone know how easy it is to stack a spindle + leveling kit, to get around 6'-6.5' in the front, and a block in the back?

I saw rough country came out with a 6inch lift for a HELL of a good price, but its for 4WD trucks only, my truck is only 2WD.

Anyways, please let me know, looking to get around 6-6.5 inches of lift, and easily clear 34-35 inch tires.

Monster truck is the look ;)

6 foot is alot.... most drop brackets give like 6”. Idk why you want to stack a leveling kit too, that sounds like alot more added stress. But you can fit 35 on stock hight granted you need to tub the cab... are you doing this just for looks or do you actually plan to off road. But I wouldn’t go with a cheap lift, you get what you pay for when it comes to suspension. The fabtech lift is one of The nicer ones ive seen.

    Hahha ;) 6 inches.

The problem with FabTech I have, is I dont have 2k to drop on just a lift - was looking to get somewhere near it with everything put together tires, lift etc.

6 inches is where I really wanna be, I plan on taking it mudding etc.
Aside from that, I like big - the bigger the better...hence why I've had so many girlfriends ;)

    All jokes aside,
Looking to get around 6 inches for looks, and big tires.

Keep an eye on the for sale sections. You will have to be getting some used components to keep it cheap. 34-35” wheels and tires are not cheap, neither is the lift. Be patient and save.

Back to the jokes!:bananadance:35's on stock height? Not knocking either one of you guys. I do it all the time in my post. Just having a little fun with you all! Southernguy, what about adding a 3 inch body lift to a 3 inch coil lift? However, I have read on here that, body lifts are not a popular option on these trucks. I had a 1985 with a 3 inch body and 5.5 suspension. No issues with body lifts on that decade of Toyota's. Made it real easy to get to the top tranny bolts when replacing the clutch. I replaced my sons clutch in his T100 and without a body lift...it was a muther getting those top tranny bolts. Anyway, just throwing an idea out there.

How much would a body lift + a coil cost? and where would I even get the parts?
Send links if you can, it'd be appreciated.

    What are the best coils?

There is a guy on here running 35s on stock hight, granted he cut alot...

If you plan to actually take this off roading I would actually spemd the money on a nice lift, last thing you want is to buy a cheap lift then break it out there is the mud. The problem ive seen with he drop bracket lifts is no one makes replacement parts for them really. I also dont see how you plan to do mudding in a 2wd, that sounds like you are just gunna get stuck alot. Your better off just spend the 2k on parts to convert to 4wd, a number of pre runner guys on here have done that.a stock hight 4wd witll Proably out preform a giant lifted 2wd.

Do you plan to daily drive this truck at all or is it just gunna be a weekend toy?

The coil spacer lift is what I meant. There are many , many post and recommendations on here for that. I have never fooled with mine and don't plan it on it. If I were to do one it would be the 6 inch fabtech. Go to ebay , copy and past this item number into the search bar" 162339720712 ". 3 inch body lift kit for your truck. $159.99 free ship. The coil spacer lifts i seen are going around $150 to $180. I would search on here first and see what other members are saying about the spacer lifts.
Sprerrunner, I was busting on you because you missed your "e" in the word height. Cuz you just got done busting on Southernguy for the 6 foot thing. It's all good! Like I said, I miss spell and forget words all the time.

Other members on herw will hate on DP lift, hate on coil spacer lifts and hate in body lifts. Every one who actually off roads will tell you to get ome coils with nice shocks and either an aal, dakar or deavers in the rear, lift the truck only 2.5 with new ucas and A diff drop then you can run 33” with miner trimming and a good alignment. 35” on that same hight with alot of trimming and the proper wheels

Also everyone on here will tell you that 2wd will not get as far a 4wd which is true but a 2wd can get pretty far before it gets stuck, but you will get stuck alot, especially in the mud.

Now @southernguy225 seem set on a 6” lift, if that’s what he want then he should get that its his truck, but he shouldn’t be cheap on the lift, fron what ive seen the fabtech lift is probably the best one, well worth the extra money, all the other lifts are just huge spacer lifts

    Do NOT stack lifts!!

If you want a certain height, get a kit that gives you that height. The reason lift kits with more than 3” lift have brakets, like the fabtech, is because the front suspention can only really handle 3” at most of lift. If you try to stack a 3” lift with leveling blocks, you will screw up your geometry and alignment, and destry your CV joints. And even then, you need to add a diff drop kit, which lowers the front diff to help keep cv angels i check.

For most off roading, you don’t really want more than about 3” anyway. The higher you go, the higher your center of gravity is, and rollovers become more likely.

Also remember you get what you pay for. The reason rough country kifts are so cheap is because, well, they suck. They might hold up to mall crawling, but I doubt will last if you drive it even on gravel roads.

If you are on a budget, get a set of bilstien 5100s and an add-a-leaf in the back. You could get some ome coils, or rexuse your stock coils. That’ll give you up to about 3”, plenty to fit most 33s.

But seriously, don’t cheap out on something as critical as the suspension.

I went the next size up on rims and tires from factory size. Had to get spacers, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs, Bilstein 5100 series shocks, Marlin Crawler clutch.
What about 3" lifts. Will I need to get a kit to lower the camping angle.

So will I need a CV joint angle kit with a 2.5" or 2" lift . It's 4 wheel drive. What do you all think.
