EBC Greenstuff 7000 Brake Pads / USR Rotors - anyone?

Got light warpage already on my rotors at 58000 miles and and investigating my options on replacement pads and rotor sets. I'm considering an 'upgrade' to the EBC Greenstuff 7000 pads and rotors... didn't find much (if anything) on folks running these on 3rd gens on ComaWorld or the internets, soI figured i'd ask for any feedback. Holla

I've heard good things about the EBC kits in general. Put some on my girlfriends civic a couple years back and they seem fine. I'm still on stock but I know I'll have to do some replacement soon. I tow a lot so I'm just waiting for my brakes to wear out.

 

I have not used EBC pads but hear good things. I used Hawk pads on my mustang when it needed them and have been happy. One of my buddies swears by Wagner thermoquiet pads but I have no experience with them.

 

i had ebc greens on my 2nd gen. they were pretty damn dirty. worked well and quiet but frikin dirty.

 

i had some hawk hps+ on my STi back in the day and hated them. They made less dust but had way less bite than the factory pads, even when properly warmed up. EBCs were a favorite among the club though and i would have switched to them if i had kept the car.

 

I love the EBC brakes. That's what I run on my 2006 Sequoyah. As everybody knows the brakes in that thing we're pathetic. So I got their slotted rotors and the green stuff pads at all four corners. It drastically improve the breaking performance of that vehicle. However they are extremely dirty. But they have a good life. We get about 40,000 miles out of a set with the wife driving

 

i have them on my 2016, dirty. changed 2m ago, and am considering changing to something else with less mess. any ideas about brand etc?

 

guess no one has the need yet. i asked a while back if changing the pads was as simple as older vehicles so when the time comes can i do it myself. no one answered.

 

you can do it yourself. quite easy.

 

I've been using ceramic pads for quite a long time on other cars, but I've heard that they aren't good for heavier vehicles. No brake dust all over the wheels & generally last a long time. Also keep in mind we have drum brakes in the rear

 

Because our OEM brakes stop as well as possible and they last a long time maybe?

When stomp on my brakes my tires immediately go to ABS mode, which means my tires are almost locking up. Stopping distance is a function of tire adhesion. We are right in line with all of our competitors.

 

I’ve had EBC greenstuffs 7000series and usr rotors for alittle over a year, HUGE amount of brake dust, I mean like, mine was still under warranty from CARID but both them and EBC contacted me back and said they couldn’t cover anything and that “brake dust is natural” but I can tell you the amount I was having was unnatural, even when EBC promotes the greenstuffs as there lowest dust pad besides OEM. Long story short and a fight with CARID and EBC, CARID refunded me back $30, not even an 1/8th of what I paid, but gave me a $25 store credit to use. Not gonna buy EBC again, just gonna buy oem if cheap or Wagner QS for the time being and just save and spend my money on the Wilwood BBK when I can.

 

Wagner is really good on my wifes equinox. Little if any brake dust, thatswhat ill usewhen i need to replace mine.

 

I used Brembo pads and rotors. When I need them they bite hard and they create very break dust

 

Any idea on part numbers that fit the 3rd gen? Would appreciate this, as it doesn’t seem to be listed anywhere online. Thanks man!

I used green stuff on my 2016. I couldn’t deal with the mess so I tossed them. Also noticed they wore pretty fast
