Nice collection of hammers, one for every need. I like that old Estwing with the stacked leather handle. I have my uncles old cruved claw Estwing, 16OZ, from the 50’s or 60’s. Cypher you keep a clean toolbox, they thank you.

We really have been spoiled this year. Hard to believe it’s almost June and it’s still green

Yeah it’s been a dry, but awesome spring in this area, with nice temps. Last year the Heat came much earlier and stayed late. Looks like summer has kicked in now though. The official storm season starts in June.

Did you mount exactly to instruction location? Seems I remember people fudging that a little.

Yes Tim. I didn’t want to try to reinvent the wheel on this one.

The locations are important, especially when the shock collapses in the closing position. If the bottom mount on the inner fender is to far out from the fire wall it would bottom out, and the hood wouldn’t close.
I think peeps are moving the hood mount location further out so the hood raises more. The Hood sits at the same height as the OEM hood prop on my 3rd gen, and once unlatched it goes up smoothly. I left the prop installed, so when repairs are necessary you can unlatch the struts for easy access from the fenders into the engine bay. Hope this helps.

Yea. It’s not the greatest stuff. Nor does it last long. I can’t even recall the last time i bought something there. But for a one time use, thought it would work.
