FWIW, I had a pretty bad squeak/creak that was driving me nuts. Tried everything, then came across some thread that talked about over-tightening the front spring eye bolt too much causes binding. I've got Alcan's and after backing off the bolt and re-torquing, no more noise

Installed those aluminum aftermarket rear vent wing pivot links that replace the plastic. I've had them sitting around for a while and figured it was time

Yeah, I was close to running out of jack and the wheels weren't coming up so I needed the ratchet straps haha. But even without the hilift it would let me sit under it comfortably.

Got spotted on the freeway on the way home from a trail this afternoon by a fellow TW member

I've been on the fence about putting a pair of AALs on the Dakars since I installed them but now that I see my truck from someone else's point of view, I'm convinced; I don't like the 'leveled' look and I want my rake back. Plus, any more weight in the back and I'll end up with bro lean. So I ordered the 1" AALs from Headstrong, should be here in a couple days

    20180520_134355-1.jpg

also, I took my soon-to-be father in law out on his first wheeling trip today, just the two of us...went well except I had to forgo my usual tradition of trail beers, which I greatly missed :sadviolin:

i don't get why you had to do that? I alway just mount the top mount then push up the shock to the lower mount..

Or just cut the strap then wait for it to line up to push the bolt through really fast...

Same here, when I put my rear Icons in I didn't lift the truck up at all, just crawled underneath and bolted them in. Had to use a bit of strength to compress the shock so I could bolt it to the lower mount but it wasn't too bad.

40 hour HAZWOPER here. Got to watch some pretty gruesome videos. I go through a RCRA hazardous waste seminar every year that’s boring as hell but usually held in Vegas at a casino resort.

You know why but you're trying to goad me into saying it myself. I'm not strong enough to muscle these in myself. I can do ones with a weaker gas charge like Billies and Ranchos but these are hard compress with my whole body weight on them.
