What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Wow, that looks good. I read a while back the white Tacos don't have clear coat so it's even more important to keep polish/wax on them

 

I read that too. That's why I thought my paint was too far to save, and never even tried. It's very rough and almost chalky, so I'm REALLY excited to put in the work and have a shiny truck by the end of tomorrow.

Yeah, that's what I'm expecting. I did the full package to my Subaru and that took 6 hours, so I'm expecting this to take around 8. Yayyyy.

I rode with one of the guys from work out to lunch in his f150 platinum with cooling seats and a back massager and I've decided I need at least the cooling part lol so does anybody have any experience with a quality cooling seat cover? I'm not too worried about a back massage but that was the greatest ride I've ever taken in a vehicle

Also, on the torque pro app, I don't get a transmission or engine oil temp. Do our trucks just not put out that info? I feel like those two are kinda important

Hey folks, check your valve cover bolts..........was just checkin under the hood and stuff, somehow stumbled onto checking the air intake bracket and found that most of the vc bolts were not even tight as they should be. Can't believe it wasn't leaking looseness to be exact. Yea for finding it before there was a mess or worse.


Installed the driver side molle panel in the storage bins and put in a pr of super bright ass LED rev lights......

 

NOOOO I TURNED MY TRUCK INTO A WIERD SOUNDING VACUM CLEANER.at least in the cab. Need something in that black box.

 

Did you check with a torque wrench? Valve cover bolts are among the lowest torque spec in the truck, measured in inch/lbs, not even ft/lbs. Spec is 53 in/lbs, which barely seems snug. Over-tightening will cause leaks.

 

Those bolts are some of the few that don't follow the standard torque guides.

 

Nope, didn't go all pinch gasket tight......went more than hand tight tho.................

My next MOD project is 1. Finding a reasonably priced 15 TRD Pro grill insert 2. Verifying fit and installing a Alpine Compact 8” sub under driver seat.
