just got the truck back from the dealership. it was the Air Injection Pump and the Air Switching valves. the warranty thing for the issue covered parts and labor and even the rental car for the weekend thank god. but then they wanted $298 for brake fluid, power steering fluid, engine and cabin air filter and to clean my battery terminals. looks like I've got a few things to do this week now. got a question for you guys, is there something I can do to quiet down the rattle from my dakars? they rattle like crazy even when just driving over something as simple as the tar, crack filler stuff on the road. sounds like I have 1000 sockets just rolling around in the bed of the truck lol. thanks to @scocar for the heads up on that warranty issue!

    ...too much shit to list.
Little late to the party, but still quoting.

I just went through this shit with my Tacoma. Most likely the stupid ABS module needs a bleed too. I haven't found a way to manually do this without a scan tool. Techstream has a multi-step process to bleed everything which includes bleeding the lines, opening one abs actuator and bleeding, opening another actuator and bleeding, and then bleeding the lines again. It's a giant pain in the proverbial dick. I picked up the hacky version of techstream. I'd suggest getting it while the getting is good because these don't last long on Amazon/ebay. It's a little annoying to get installed (again it's a hacked version), but eventually I got it to run on my PC and was able to go into the ABS computer and run the bleed process.

Was that all the castor they could get out of it, or were they just lazy and got it in the almost green?

It worked out great! Was super windy out there and there was almost no noise inside of it. Can’t wait to use it some more.

Not enough to have a build thread.
Abs bleeds are more necessary and on more advanced (newer) systems like your 2nd gen. Usually older systems can be bled without an abs bleed as long as you didn't replace the hcu part of the abs module.

But as always with the auto industry, the key word in the above statement is "usually."

And I'd love to try something with someone with your predicament. Test drive and lock up the tires repeatedly to see if the air with "burp" out of the abs.

Just stopped by the BevMo close to my work in Pleasanton. They told me that they don’t carry it, but that they did once upon a time. They also told me that “it doesn’t make it off the islands very much”. Anyone have any other ideas/leads?

They(San Rafael Bevmo) also told me they didn't stock Yukon Jack but could order it. After waiting 6 weeks I went to the Santa Rosa store where they keep it stocked all the time. Like I said, not terribly reliable. And dont call other stores for you either.
