Well guys I got my answer from dometic....

Thank you for contacting Dometic. Yes you can mount them to a tray, that should not be an issue. You also should have no trouble with it still mounted during bad weather or when you hose your truck off. Thank you for your interest in Dometic products.

Ok so now my question is...do I get the 28l..or move up the the one with wireless. Keep in mind I already have an 11 liter in the cab as the center console to use as a freezer

How long are your trips? I have a 65dz that lets me use part of the space as a freezer and part as a fridge and I honestly think it's just big enough. It's probably similar to what you have for a freezer + a 50w. I would say I can confidently do 2 weeks with it (rotating dry stored beer out).

We had an Earthroamer parked over the fence from my apt complex in the Walmart back lot en route to Expo. Naturally, I had to go introduce myself as the tacoma peasant next door (and see what emperors take camping)

Those are pretty sweet, but would literally fit no where there's wheeling on the East coast unless it was a fire road

True, but really green trails. Amd even then there are some pretty tight spots. I can't see it fitting on anything else.
