Wow, that's such a weird breakage for stock motor mounts, they usually stop that much force from transmitting to anything.

Yea man, I don't know what could have happened. I went ahead and replaced both mounts plus the transmission one to be safe

I'd chalk it up as a fluke if you don't remember doing anything that could cause that haha. I need to think about beefing up the frame side of my perches soon with the hard poly mounts in there, trans is already taken car of though.

Nightmare of a job but love the difference they make...

We had planned on beefing up the frame perches but when it came time to it we just didn't have the time. Hopefully this won't ever occur again. I might just buy another set of perches from Toyota before they stop making them.

if you ever do do it again, DMZ makes new perches I think. They are quite beef.

That 9hr trip went successfully I'd say. Alternator went out halfway and had to spend 3 hours replacing it in an AutoZone parking lot. Then I arc'd it and blew the alternator fuse which took a while to figure out. Other than that, truck did great. Good thing I had a lifetime warranty on it!

Its kind of common in the long travel trucks. Mine are plated and boxed with an extra layer on the frame side, the factory frame mount is sandwiched in between the new plate and the motor mount. Some have even beefier than mine and have still torn them apart

Wasn't today, but rather this weekend. Bed lined the truck with Raptor Liner.

Only had one rust repair to make. Used some rivets to put in the patch as I didn't feel it was necessary to break out the welder for such a small hole.

Saw this thing on the highway today while stuck in traffic 6D7077D6-3097-47FE-B3E6-C5943473C8C0.jpg

And then when I got into my neighborhood the truck developed the most annoying metal on metal rattle. Took me awhile to find but the months of leaving the sunroof popped finally took its toll and loosed the bolts for the latch, tightened em up and she seems good to go!68D359FE-2B8E-40F9-8434-2579248852D6.jpg

Oh I know, I’ve had limited service for the past week and a half and every time I get on I’ve missed like 200 posts.
