Well the name in my phone just changed for Sam. Forever Santos.

 

They usually see/stalk you long before you see them. I've hiked in the snow during hunting season and while hiking back to my truck noticing kitty tracks following mine from earlier in the day. I've spent a lot of time in the woods both recreationally and for work, and only seen one cougar over the last 15-20yrs.

 

A few years ago, my ex showed me a picture her coworker took. It was a self shot (I refuse to say it) with him and his deer. Amongst the trees in the back ground are a pair of shining eyes. Cougar had been stalking him. He ended up shooting it with his handgun. One lucky guy there!

 

We had a Cougar in the brush right by our tent growling half the night keeping us awake when we were camping near Vantage two weekends ago. Even when I yelled at it and made it known we were definitely human it just growled more. So seeing this story made me think twice about getting up at 3am to walk the dog in the pitch black when a cougar was 20-30ft away in the brush growling at something. Turned out it was actually 3 Cougars in the brush when we eventually spooked them enough to flush them out the other side of the brush and onto a cliff side

 

Did it sound like these bobcats? Wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world?

What do you guys normally carry? I switch between a .45 and 10mm when I'm in the woods and was thinking about giving my girlfriend my .380 but feel like it's a bit underpowered.

 

I carry 9mm but I'm ultimately more concerned with two legged critters.

 

I've typically got my 9mm shield. 8rnds is better than nothing. Some occasions the 12g isn't far away or 30rnds of 7.62x39 that will mostly deafen you vs hit you, at the reach. Gotta love the pistol variants. Been wanting a G20.

 

I love my G20. 15 +1 and even with my dainty wrists and lady hands it fits comfortably and kicks the same as my Xdm .45

 

Only other I desire is a Ruger super/Redhawk .44mag

Hi errbody,

I have a huge favor to ask. I have a friend that is getting married this weekend and is need of a balance before heading east. Problem is he doesn't have the spline socket for the TRD lugs.

Wondering if anyone close to the Lynnwood area has a spline socket for the 2015 TRD rims.

 

S&W .44mag. Also don't forget about bear spray. It has it's pluses and minuses, but it does work.
