Ummm.. kinda of. Ford was bailed out two years before the official bailout happened. You know what they did with the billions they got? Retooled their factories for more fuel efficient autos. And during the actual bailout they receive a 9 billion dollar line of credit. It's just a matter of time before it happens again. Haven't you seen creeping fuel prices?

 

I had to refi because the pmi was wearing on me. Plus I wouldn't send the extra money when there's mods on TW I need!

 

Yeah getting a refi out of PMI is good IF you got a lower rate too.

Fuel prices are pretty constant. It's the value of the dollar that is in constant flux. Back when our money was actually commodity backed and not purely fiat, prices were more stable (aside from normal supply/demand and competitive pricing). In the 1930's an ounce of silver would buy about 5 gallons of gas. Same in the 50's, 70's, 90's, and today.

Yeah, I soaked up all the standing water with bounty and then let the fan run on it all night. Now I need to go out there with a bucket of cleaner, a rag and a brush and scrub it all down. Then I'm putting the seats and trim back in. I'm not even bothering with putting the carpet back in until after Richloam...if ever. I am going to try pressure washing the carpet, scrubbing it with Tide and a scrub brush, pressure washing it again and then hanging it up to dry.

 

Hey me too. Almost done with my elocker axle swap. Guess who's half 6 lug now lol.


Just need to bleed the brakes mores and eventually adjust the drums so the ebrake works again.......god I hate drum brakes.

Well, here she is until at least after Richloam. Still waiting on the floor mats to dry before I put those back in though.



Plus I sprayed the seats with a whole bottle of Fabreeze Unstoppables over the course of about four treatments while they were sitting in the house, so they should make the truck smell like a french ho after sitting in there closed up, haha.

Edit: Oh, yeah, and I deleted the strap end of that third seatbelt for the front seat cause anybody small enough to ride there and the driver still be able to drive the truck should probably be sitting in a car seat anyway, lol.

Looks good Nam. When I get my next truck that's what I am probably going with. Really like the 18's and when I get one gonna go with the Platinum. For now the Genesis will do.

 

I really wanted a white platinum too, but too hefty a price tag!

 

The stars must have aligned today for me because I went to NAPA to order my new CV axle and wonder of wonders, they had one in stock so I could leave the store with it in stead of playing the call and wait game.

Edit: With my luck that probably means it's the wrong one, even though we got the part number right off the receipt for the other one I bought.
