Without taking the leaf off an greasing the pack an new nylon spacers try spraying the ever living crap out of it with fluid film you can get it at Home Depot or Lowe’s it’s around $10 a temp fix but way better than wd-40.

They are considered NCO’s but they get no real respect unless your combat arms biggest arseholes in the army next to a DS.

I have had a "job" at a rather shitty bike shop for a while...1,000 a week straight,
the other place is a boat shop where I can work as many or as few hrs as I want.

    so,
I go to the bike shop and sit on my ass most of the time, then I go to the boat yard and really work for 2-4 hrs a night.

All I am is a poor un educated deplorable mechanic...

thanks, maybe I should quote the boss at the bike shop, "it is what it is..." I hate that phrase, lazy persons way of not accepting responsibility.
That phrase sure as hell would not work in the military or any other job........got to be a south thing, never heard it 'till I got here

Yall need to be spraying your leaf packs with motorcycle chain wax lube. It hangs on forever since it's designed specificly not to be slung off of rotating parts, that's what I spray mine with

I assume this is the same stuff, we have been using this for years on all our chain operated equipment. I never thought about using it on springs and such. Will give it a try.
