Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Waaaaay back when struts were becoming popular for hatchbacks and such (late 70s), they were notorious for failure. I'm sure they've gotten a lot better since. Still, I'll be keeping my hood prop.

I don't see it as useless. It's fixing a shortcoming of an otherwise great truck. It's like the AC drain "mod", lack of interior LED lights, or the missing 3rd bed rail. The places they cut corners are obvious. I'm just willing to pick up their slack.

A mod is something you do to make the truck yours. Personal preferences, if you will.

You say lazy, and, in this case, I say convenience.

No, it's NOT useless. It isn't about being lazy either. It's convenient, safe and works great! Maybe some are just too cheap to install them, but I do not judge.

Did what I bought it for, beat the living piss out of it all weekend, and got to keep the diesel clean in the driveway. Win-win situation.

To each his own. I prefer the color off-set with chrome lugs.
