There are only 2 types of Moon Roofs: Ones that do leak, and ones that will eventually leak.

I have it and use it all the time. I have a prinsu though and it's loud with it open such that when I'm driving 50+ mph, I usually close it to be able to hear a podcast (I'm a podcast listener much more thna music). Even with the moonroof closed and driving 50+, I'll often close the shade as that makes it a big difference in sound.

Like I said... that's with a relatively bulky roof rack (relative to no rack or the OEM rack).

I use mine whenever the weather allows. I'm a little less than 6'2", I don't have any head room issues.

Moonroof was on of the reasons I traded in my 2015 OR for 2018. Used in combination with the power rear sliding window, and it's a great way to vent the truck without rolling the side windows down. It's totally worth it.

Same here. It was a TRD Pro deal breaker for me.

My last truck didn't have a moonroof and I definitely missed having one on warm summer nights. I always told myself that if they offered one on the Taco that I would pull the trigger on buying one. I'm glad that I waited until 2018 since they offer the premium package with leather, which I like too.

I open up the slider more often than I do the actual glass but I'm glad to know that I have the option to use it when I want to ...kind of like 4WD, right?

I had no preference. Ended up with one because that's what was on the lot and the dealer worked on the price.

I use it all the time. I like fresh air. Plus with recirc off and the roof cracked, it will clear out the nastiest fart in seconds

Don't have one on my Sport but wish I did. Wife's Avalon has one and a previous 4Runner had one. I keep the cover open for the brightness it brings to the cabin, and on really nice weather days, it's open more times than not. I've never experienced leakage but I guess once you get a couple hundred thousand miles racked up, there is greater than zero chance it will leak.

I have one on my 17' DCSB OR, like others, one of the reasons I didn't get the Pro. FWIW I'm 6' with the front seats/ rear bolts raised, the headliner of the truck isn't too far away, but still no problem.

Naw man. This isn't 40 years ago. I've had cars/trucks with moonroofs for years. Never a leak. Think at last count I'm on my 6th vehicle with one, oldest being '87 Toyota.

I rarely use mine, but I have enjoyed it on a few occasions when the weather is nice. Given the choice I would have passed just to have more headroom. I do like the fact that it tells you it's still open when you turn off the truck. Wish it warns when the rear window is open.

I seem to always get one, but never really use it. And I live in So Cal too.

If you're over 6 feet tall (or 1.8 meters in communist units), I'd think twice about it. I'm 6'2", and only have about 2" of head room. Without a moon roof, it'd be considerably more.

Uh. No. Had my previous car for 8 years and never had any issues.

OP if you're going to buy a brand new truck in 2018, treat yourself to a double cab and get one with a moonroof.

My last car had a sunroof and I don't miss it. My wife has one in her Corolla and we never use it, her last car was a Saab and it leaked like crazy every time it rained.

I have always had sun roofs and use them year round. Sunny blue sky snowy day with the heater cranked. Cold air feels great.

Never had a sunroof leak on the factory sunroof. Ever. We have had VW Saturn Saabs and now a Tacoma. And every vehicle we have kept over 10 years. One Saab is 17 years old.

Lucky you, my wife's old Saab leaked a lot. A co-workers VW didn't leak but did decide to just randomly open and not close until it wanted to and he had it happen during rain multiple times, he hated that thing haha.
