If you're going to post something of a controversial nature, do us all a favor and at least attempt to verify if it correct or not. It's called due diligence.

In this particular case what you posted was factually incorrect. There is no reason to get upset about it.

I think there is a difference because whoever made that statement is drawing a conclusion which they then stated someone else said which I believe to be wrong.

i was going to comment, but there is no real point on it....

    edit: bottom line

Drugs go up, weapons and money go down. both governments have corrupt officials, both countries have part on the problem.

I'd say that 90% of the problem is the U.S. and I think Calderon is right about one thing.
If Americans stopped getting high, the quality of life for a lot of people, around the globe probably, would increase dramatically.

Wow that is sad to hear...

As far as bulk arms is concerned, the U.S. is by far the largest exporter of global arms in the world. I tried unsuccessfully to determine how much of those were small arms, but I couldn't find it...

I have been running Army Logistics for the last 20+ years and I know for a fact that you are wrong on this. Not trying to bust your balls or anything but please at least verify your information before you put it out there.

Which part do you disagree with? Gang members in the military, or procurring weapons for the Cartels?

I don't give a Shit! Even though it is our right ot own some of these assualt weapons is it something that the average american needs in their home. If your a collector that is fine but just to have one for personal defense i'm sure a regular shot gun, pistol or rifle would do just fine. They will KILL Game or A Person the same as the auto.

The title to the article posted was not mine and was probably intended to rile people up. As Ben pointed out, Calderon alluded to it.

Not many folks have full auto fiearms in the U.S. Those that do have them are watched closely. Semiauto rifles are not "assault weapons".

Is this guy a US citizen....no? Then 1) who the f*ck is he to question us and, 2) why should he have ANY bearing on our policy to protect OUR sovreign territory from violence, drugs, and military supported incursions?

not procuring weapons for cartel... procuring weapons with street gangs... who then trade them to cartels... maybe not in your unit but it does happen... sorry but it does.

this is a relatively new phenomenon so you may not have experienced it yet in you 20 years experience

Once again its Americas fault, why all this shit goes down, and I guess it is until we stop all this Political correct Bullshit and start worrying about Legal Law abiding citizens instead of this trash that comes in from out of the country and how we can be fair to people that have broken our Laws and shit on our culture and at the same time living off the goodwill of the Sap American Taxpayer

Wonder why he didn't bring up the violence along the southern border of Mexico and how much the Mexicans hate/kill the illegals from El Salvador, Equador and other countries trying to go through Mexico to get to the U.S.

^^^GOOD Point! Never mind the fact that he is happy to pass the buck to us, while he can't even control his own country. Talk about a classic case of the pot calling the kettle....

With that logic, why doesn't he just ban the export of drugs? Problem solved!
