I have manual hubs on my truck and need to replace one of my CVs.

Does my truck have an axle nut like the ADD trucks, or does it use a C-clip? (or both?)

I searched and read some conflicting information about this but want to make sure I have the right tools before I tear things apart.

found my answer here: Manual hub trucks use a C clip, ADD trucks have a nut.

I'm attaching a SS of the pdf in case the source goes down.

The manual hubs could use a bolt and washer instead of the c clip.

I'm pretty sure that's only a back up in case the c clip fails. The ADD ones have a giant axle nut instead of the c clip and smaller bolt.

    That's correct. There's a c-clip and then the back-up washer/bolt.
