My experience with a sunroof is as follows:

Had it on my Mazda 3 - Didn't use it
Had it on my GTI - Didn't use it
Don't have it on my Tacoma - Don't miss it.

I will say what I do use and enjoy quite a bit is the auto rear sliding glass window.

Good to know. Leaves that option open now.

Not a fan of holes in the roof. I can enjoy a moon roof but I've never driven a vehicle and thought to myself, if only this thing had a moon roof.

Nope, snorkel is an option but JBL and sunroof are standard.

Yes! Warm summer nights with the top open. That right there is a little slice of heaven. Especially when I head out to the Southwest.

Sunroof and snorkel on the same vehicle, who are they marketing this thing to?

I like mine. I survived just fine without one on my JGC, but I enjoy having it on this truck.

I always get the moon roof on every vehicle I own. Never had a leak, including the 2001 Nissan Pathfinder my daughter still drives. My only hesitation on the Tacoma was the reduced head room. I’m 6’2” and it’s only an issue when I spike my hair and it touches the liner, which is a mild annoyance.

The question is, how important is it to you? For me it was a must have.

Just about all of my vehicles have had one and have been used . Now , an aftermarket moonroof ? no freaking way but from the factory , absolutely. I also have my windows cracked in the winter time , don't like feeling stuffy.

Our 16 had a sunroof and the 18 does too. I would have paid an extra $1000.00 to get it deleted. I was not willing to to pay $10,000.00 more for a Pro to get it deleted. The most attractive part of the Pro was to me was that it did not have a sunroof.

I don’t remember seeing a sunroof as being standard on the 19 Pro.

LOL you sound like my old-fart father-in-law who buys lower trims to avoid moonroofs. Do you change your oil every 3K miles too?

I've owned nothing BUT vehicles with moonroofs and not a single one has ever had a water problem. 200K mile Honda Preludes (2), 230K Honda accord, civics, Acura RSX, Toyotas, even our saturn vue that has body panel gaps the size of the grand canyon and is made out of tupperware doesn't leak through the moonroof (and it sits outside all the time).

I know, I know, personal experience is anecdotal, but given that they still put them in everything, I'd say the vast majority of moonroofs don't have any issues.

Was told to me from Southeast Toyota directly when trying to order one, said f that as the sunroof decreases headroom and bought an 18.

Believe me, I hope that's incorrect as it means I won't buy a 2020 when the redesign comes.

Yeah I dont think that is true. The tundra pro finally does though.

If you guys are all so worried about headroom in a little baby truck, why not buy a bigger vehicle?

I don't have it. Drove a loaner WITH one and I hated the loss of headroom plus I have a rack over my cab so a sunroof would only have been marginally valuable anyhow.

You're new here so i'll just say that the 3rd gen changed the seating position and those of us above 6ft tall have some issues with headroom.

Being new here has nothing to do with the fact that is a small truck as it is. I'm 5'9" and I hit my head every time I get in the damn truck, sunroof or not.
