    Getting some trim done.

Owner hired a "master Carpenter" and needless to say we tore off everything and tried to unfuck where they blew through the windows and are making it great again.

Doing beam work, a lot of real barn wood and getting it done.

    I'll be in Kauai.

And I'm leaning towards just renting when i need equipment for now and buying something less industrial for property projects.

So, a week and a half ago? I went dirt biking, broke a big toe and a good attempt at my collar bone.

The next day i was planning on getting most if not all of the siding done on the shed. But couldn't walk or use my left arm.

Went to Kauai for a week and now I'm back. Better but toe and shoulder still hurt. But sand needs to be spread so i can do gravel, piping and tanks. Sorry shoulder, gonna have to suck it up for a little longer!

Also looking into a small 19-26ft camper to use as my home base on the property. Another incentive to get septic done so i can move on to the property!

Got my sore self out to get some work did.

Wrapped it with two layers of the heavy duty tarp that i had for the hell of it.

The triangle will also be pallet wood. Far end doesn't have any pallet wood yet. Hurricane bracketed the close side of the roof, still want to adjust the front span before bracketing it.

I'll throw the roof panels on once the brackets are all on so she doesn't fly away.

So, I used to have a boss way into gardening and planted his own forest out east on plains (40 acres not all tree's) best time to transplant trees is fall, they go dormat and then all the water (Snow melt) they need for free.

Yeah, the interwebs said spring or fall. But fall of there's actually a real winter it seems like they would just die.

Only way to know for sure is stays planting now and see what happens.

Really just more work (Watering) in spring over the fall/ winter plant aspect. But not like your buying the trees like he was.

Just went and watered the little b$tches.

Going to try and knock out gravel for the leach field tomorrow and maybe throw in some piping if I can find a place to buy some of the parts I need.

I'd be all about it.. maybe once i get my forest grown.

    0522182013a_HDR.jpg

Planted another 3 for a total of 9 so far. Don't mind goofy on the right... It was dug from more of a slope so the roots were kinda kinked to the side.

Rough plan is two water tanks for them (540gal), put watering hose on the ground so i can keep them happy. Once they are more stable I'll use the pallets for wind break fencing so the little saplings can stand a chance of growing. I'll keep expanding the rows with more and more. So far they all still look healthy. I'm using pallets instead of stakes and string because stakes wouldn't work well in the rocky sand.

Since they don't carry a root ball i grab a 5gal bucket of soil from where they came from and put that in with them. Also throwing some organic soil on top as well as starting a compost pile to keep the soil coming.

I also got leach field piping and am probably ordering the tanks and the rest of the septic tomorrow.

Power supply materials have been purchased and i just need to get that installed and switched on and then I'll have power! A day late and a dollar short but better late than never. Time to nail down the building size and finalize the plan since that'll be the next permit/purchase.

Spenda few days exploring the desert with good people.

    0525181448.jpg

Rallying through the desert with Windows down means lots of cleanup. Had a borrowed @ChandlerDOOM hard shellshell for the trip.. mighty comfy and easy to set up and take down.

    0524181813_HDR.jpg

Busy times in the near future. Construction trailer/temporary living quarters acquired.

    0526181818a.jpg

Transferred my stuff into it... i have accumulated a lot of shit again.

Working on mods and adjustments to the trailer... Better use of storage areas, adding more kitchen counter space, adding probably two skylights and maybe a vent.

The aspens are doing good on the property.

    0522182013a_HDR.jpg

Shed roof sheeting is on (after that picture was taken). Trying to find a time to get down to the front range to buy some of the IBC 275 gallon water totes. Probably 3 for non potable and one or two potable.

All the electric materials are in my possession, need to do some installing on the pole and make a temp panel, septic tanks to be delivered in two weeks and hopefully I'll have the leach field drilled and ready to go as soon as I set the tanks.

Were you up in this corner of the state again? I really need to head that way and explore as it's an area I haven't spent a lot of time in.

I met them near kremmling. Then we went out to echo Park campground the first night, Gates of lodore the second night. I left to SLC Saturday morning to grab the camper.

Was an awesome time as it usually is. They continued on to the south part of the state, haven't heard exactly where they went yet since part of the fun is just exploring.

Hands down favorite part of the trip.

Spent a few hours talking with a lifelong local who knew the complete history of the area... Learned more in those few hours than a year of history class.

Brandon, came across this and seems like right up your alley to do with your greenhouse. Might get year round use out of it.
