This happened to my father in-law's 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe a couple years back. Part of the belt actually got sucked in and ended up causing enough damage that the motor seized up. After a serious amount of investigation, the mechanic ended up determining that the cause for the seized engine started with the belt coming through the crankshaft seal. You can't make that shit up.

Thanks for posting this! My mirrors and door handles are faded and I’d love to bring them back to life.

Quick question. Does a 2013 DCLB have airbags in the front seats? I hate the seats and would spend the money to replace them if possible. I did search google and it looks like the side airbags are in the pillar rather than the seats.

there should be a tag on the seat that says "side airbag" I believe.

Mines a 15' & has tags on the seats & says something like srs above the front doors too. Idk if that's an actual air bag though

Didn’t clean the acetone off completely so had some minor complications at first put some more elbo grease into the cleaning process and it worked perfect . Tried to save some money and bought paint that has primer built in so we will see how long it last .

I already had the trim restorer on hand, and I didn't want to deal with putting cheap rattle can paint over the PC bumper... more importantly I didn't want to deal with taping the entire front end & fenders... plus it's somewhat windy in my alley (go figure) so that's always a pain when rattle canning

I rattle can over my PC all the time. Works well. All those reasons make sense though. Turned out good!
