Is the airbag connector the same?

 

luckily they unscrew easily and you can put a cap on them once you drill the hole for a real NMO mount.

 

I’m running two mag mount atm, hopefully the bed liner holds up to the abuse.

Also, if you have sage brush taller than the average cedar, you might have a good reason to rhino line.

Mmmm, 560,000 miles and no problems yet with any boost numbers, maybe higher boost number one should.

 

not really true.

Boost is a silly measurement anyways as it doesn't reflect how much air your moving or take into account the efficiency of the system.

10psi from the TRD blower isn't the same as 10psi from a 70mm turbo for instance.

that and plenty of guys on here with turbos boost around 10-15psi give or take but all have different turbos or slightly different anyways.

Yup, alone it is a useless measurement, when diagnosing and improving your vehicle it is helpful. If you had 6psi and threw on a header and it went down to 5psi that'd actually be a good thing (dramatic I know) but it means volumetic efficiency has improved.

 

I suspect that the stepper motor in my gauge is going out...occasionally the needle won't move at all. Happens sporadically. Debating whether to send it in to get fixed or get an AEM boost gauge to match my AFR one. Would feel kinda bad though getting rid of a classic TRD gauge so I'll probably look into what it costs to get fixed.

Yeah it is a SpeedHut custom gauge. Very nicely made. I need to get a better pod, decided I don't like my Lo-Tek...

Also have you tried getting a new pressure sender, maybe yours is broken

 

vacuum...I think. I didn't install the boost gauge, just the AFR gauge. I know it plugs into the boost port on the back so it would be vacuum driven, no? It's analogue (no digital readings) if that matters.

No idea, I'm out of my league on this one...I posted the issue up on the supercharger tips, tricks and mods thread on TW and one of the guys told me it was the stepper motor acting up. I'll have to look into more.
