I run an Exide Edge AGM. Absolutely love it. The stock Toyota battery was trash.

Just replaced my Walmart "diehard" battery today. Lasted 8 years. I will stick with Walmart Diehard.

FWIW, the battery in my 17' DCSB OR died after about 15 months and 9300 miles, I had to get it done because I needed the truck so I just had my favorite shop put a new one in. I would have liked to upgrade but I didn't have time.

    Must have missed this one.

No group buy, you have to do the mod yourself, 3/4” oak.

Are you doing anything special to charge it? I have a Pelfrey 31 cage already sitting in my living room and looking at that exact battery, but heard its too big for our trucks to top off. I'm in an apartment so running a trickle charger is very much a hassle.

nothing special at all, it is a regular battery on larger. I also live in an apartment and am not charging when not driving. Who said it was too big to top off?

Lol they jerked me around as well. But they ultimately replaced it.

I went in for a normal 20k service and i noticed a few weak starts. I asked them to check the battery at the service. I get to the agent when they said my car was ready and he said they ran a test and it was fine. I look over the paperwork they gave me when i get home and it says " battery could not be tested". I didn't think much of it and went about my life. Two days later... dead battery.

I charge it enough to go about my business for a day before i can bring it to the dealer. I bring the truck in and after testing it they said the threshold for a battery replacement wasn't met. I'm like well i brought it in with weak starts, the battery was dead yesterday, and its weak starting right now. He told me if the meter doesn't say this number we cant replace it...

I go home and try to start the truck the next morning... dead. I get a quick jump and head back to the dealer and turn it off in the service line...dead as a door nail. I'm like well i have a battery issue you might have to get someone to jump it to move it out the line... Needless to say they replaced it.

I'm with you, I just bought one for around 90 bucks with a 5 year warranty, why pay double for a battery with a 2-3 year warranty.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
FTMFW! I also have this battery. Sometimes I pop the hood and just look at it. JK.

My battery died and I couldn't get to the dealer. Bought my own at Advance Auto Parts. I called Toyota about a warranty claim, sent in my receipt. Got paid in full. They even covered the core, so I made $20 and got a 3 year warranty.

Did you need any adapters? Or special brackets to make that fit?
