The cutting isn’t bad, it’s just heavy and awkward to mock up and install. I did it by myself with 2 scissor jacks and on floor jack. F9D37FCB-7AFA-40DC-8A5F-9E79A96707B2.jpg

Back when I was a Windows guy (Mac exclusively now) I'd back that damn PST file up manually. Too much of my life in it.

Is their a better way to save this data besides pst? I only get 4GB for my profile but almost out of storage and need to save emails from before I got here and keep my current stuff to work from?

Probably a good idea! Throat punching is my preferred method of stress relief as well... :)

Most of Virginia's Court system still runs on a DOS based system!

This thing crashes all the freaking time. So frustrating.

Is the header corrupted? or content? Windows box? Try the option of restore last version to see if you can revive it. You might lose current until revived version. Split your PST's if you absolutely need them or look up the RFC822 and export all your stuff into .eml files without having pst stuff.

I had a similar issue a while back and used a PST repair tool to fix it. Lost a little but not everything. I forget the tool (been about 10 years) but there are a bunch out there.

The EML file route was what I ultimately went to. Those files are readable by just about anything.

Lol... I went to pay a parking violation (parked in a fire zone) loading groceries at wegmans 2 years ago and the system was down and they could not find the citation told me to come back when it was back on line. I did 2 days later then they could not find the citation in the system as they lost files from the crash.Let me say I got the names of everyone involved and citation number and dates of system crash and a written letter in case this comes up again....

We only get like 1GB lol. But can get a waiver for more if needed and show cause for it. I just save out any important stuff or messages with large attachments as msg files in my network share. I am low on the totem pole so i dont have much stuff i need to keep.
