That looks like a decent setup for the price. I wonder how much throw you get from the light bar being so low?

Liked the reflection in the hood. oooh shiny!

 

Looks like a lot of wasted light on the ground. Would throw even better at a higher mounting.

 

I agree, thats why I wonder about the lower grill insert mount. At that height so much light is wasted. If there was a cab mount I liked that would have been my preferred choice.

10w bars ftw!! For a single light bar that generally gives you the most usable light for your money that is. The spread on that one is pretty impressive and im sure better in person. We're probly not seeing a lot of that spill on camera.. Still wanna get one of these types to compare it to mine to see if they perform any better. Seems like they have slightly larger reflectors. Similar to that of BD's. Their longer bars get up there in price tho.. And looks like they use fluted cups/reflectors (instead of lenses) for their flood optics..

 

Its a 30" dual row from Auxbeam. Theyre kind of a budget company but have some friends whove had goodluck with them so figured id give it a shot. Works great no moisture as of yet

 

what is everyone running for 32" combos?

 

Anyone else think that curved light bars look like they are sagging when mounted on the cab?

For some reason they don’t look right to me!

Installed both light bars and fogs on my base, mounted behind the lower bumper, give off a significant amount more light, used an aluminum angle and just drilled and tapped the legs that came with the lights right into the crash bar, worked out great. Didn’t even remove the bumper. Both are from Amazon.

Just finished installing my somewhat stealthy setup on my TRD Sport, which is:

Baja Designs Squadron R SAE Amber Fog Lights
Rough Country 12" Single Row Light Bar (in hood scoop)
Rough Country 20" Black Series Single Row Light Bar (in Pelfreybilt bumper)
18,000 lumens total

I'm very happy with the light output, as well as the look. I'm not excited about chrome, so the black series is exactly what I was looking for, as well as hiding a light bar in the hood scoop, so everything is nice and tidy.

The 12" Rough Country light bar has been installed in the hood scoop for 5 years now, and it's held up and performs flawlessly. But to be honest, I'd probably skip it next time, as it doesn't really add much to the overall brightness on the road. This probably has to do with the fact that it's sitting behind the mesh, but damnit I hate the look of chrome lights, and I want it to look hidden, so whatever.

I was originally skeptical about the 30 degree spot beam not being wide enough for spotting wild game on rural roads at night (this is how I wound up with the steel plate bumper purchased 50% by the insurance company after I hit a deer at night and smashed my OEM bumper). But, with this combo, I get plenty of light in the ditches and sides of the road to spot any critter a long ways away.

I currently have a 40" Cali Raised light bar mounted in the Prinsu and a 30" Cali Raised amber mounted between the bumper and the grille. These lights have never let me down, and for the price are pretty bright. However, they have some serious condensation problems going on. I am looking at Baja X6s for the Prinsu and Heretic for the bumper. Is the baja worth the $1400? Is Heretic any good? I want to buy lights once more and never buy them again, just cant quite figure it out!

 

We have these locally and people seem to like them. The retail store owner says in the 7-8 years he’s been selling them he’s only had a few come back for warranty and mostly abuse damage but the company honoured it anyways

I was able to get a Rigid SR20 Midnight edition for $430 so decided to go rigid with the lifetime warranty. Should look good on the TRD Pro with SSO bumper

 

As anyone mounted their lightbar to a tall topper, as opposed to right above the windshield, and have pics/review? Or any other lightbar mounts other than CaliRaised for the windshield? Or put a 50in+ lightbar on their front bumper?

Amazon accidentally mailed me a 52in curved lightbar and pods instead of crossbars, and didn’t want it returned. Trying to decide if I wanted to use it or sell.
