I took the 2017 Tacoma in for it’s 15K mile service at the Toyota dealer... when I dropped it off... tire pressure was 32 psi all around... the dealer had the truck in the shop for an hour and returned it to me... on the way home, I checked the tire pressures via the TPS... and this is what I had.
It makes me wonder what other “quality” work that they do.

If they didn't set all your tires to the same pressure, then I am sure they didn't bother to change your oil filter??

They don’t change the oil during the 15K service... the tire pressure was 32 all around when I gave it to them... they had to try to mess it up... if they had let it alone... it still would have been 32 psi all around.

I think he is trying to point out that after 1 hour of service, in which they likely list that they did a courtesy check of all fluids, tire pressure etc that they tire pressure is not equal in all 4 tires.

I think I share OP's concern that if they can not even verify tire pressure what the F did they do for an hour and did they actually do ANYTHING.

I would be giving the service advisor an earful and want the "head mechanic" to verify work was completed as documented.

Every time I drop my vehicles off I tell the service advisor to put a note in there not to touch the tire pressures and they never do.

My local dealer gave mine back all perfectly matched at 42psi and with the dipstick hanging out. It's one of those funny not funny things. I have to verify everything they do.

Exactly, you can't trust these places, especially when it comes to petty jobs like changing oil, checking fluids, tire pressure etc. Its pretty sad to hear this from an actual Toyota dealership.

The first time I got new tires put on my first gen I asked the Manager at a repair chain if they could do an oil change since it was needed, and the truck was already up in the air. I figured this was a simple task and would save me an hours time.

4000 miles later when I go to change my own oil I find an old black Toyota filter. I know for a fact that the shop I went to did not have an OEM filter on hand. They clearly did not bother to even change out the filter....

The dealership scratched the hell out of one of my flairs while in for the 10K service. They did agree to repair the damage at no cost to me.

However, since then and including the time I dropped it off for the body show to fix my jacked flair, I do a video walk around with the service adviser. He is in the start of the vid and the end. I do this both on drop off and pick up with every vehicle now. He understands since it took them about a week to "find" the intake paperwork to verify it had no damage on arrival. I outright told him, "This shit will NOT happen again" He knows I am going to look under the hood, check tire pressure, and fluid levels every time I pick up. If I am not the person picking up I will check it at the house on video.

FYI, I have 4 Toyotas in my driveway so this happens roughly every 2nd or 3rd month.

Mistakes happen, fine. Own it, fix it, and do what you can to prevent it from occurring again.

And by all means give the guy checking the tire pressure an freaking gauge!!!

Wow, 4 overinflated mismatched pressures, hope the same guy didn't do anything else on the truck.

Nothing in here is even remotely surprising. I remember reading a thread a while back about the dealer not putting lug nuts back on a guys truck. he didn't even make it out of the parking lot before the wheel came off and tore everything to hell

moral of the story, don't let them do free maintenance, make them pay you do maintenance, or do it yourself, and know its done right.

Its a shame the quality of work coming out of the dealerships nowadays, but that's what happens when you have entry level techs that you pay next to nothing

You over inflate your tires? I’m sure that happens in the sun... but in my case it was raining on my way home from the dealer.

I deflated to the proper psi... I’ll go back at 20K for the oil change then go elsewhere.

Good luck! If I brought my truck somewhere and they were too inept to inflate a tire there is no way I would let them touch my motor, I don't care how free it was.
