yea, i figured it was worth the upgrade for the leather, navi, sunroof, parking and blind spot sensors over the sr5

 

Haha, I'd trade all that for a nice three link SAS on my ratty old 1st Gen. And I wouldn't regret it for a single moment.

 

with all the trail damage you've had lately, you prob need the parking sensors more than me but glad to see ogt is living up to it's potential!!

 

Hey, those are badges of honor. They state clearly that the OGT isn't a Pavement Princess. The only one that bugs me is the one where the trailer load of gravel popped off my hitch, crushed my tag light, bent my (brand new) tag, and then scraped paint off the bottom of the tailgate before putting a dent in the sheet metal under the tail light. All the other dent dings and scrapes, I'm freakin' proud of because they were honestly earned and have cool stories to go with them. Just like the new Chevy commercial where the chick said, each dent is another chapter in the story. To which I say: AMEN, Sister!

Haha, you know, when I was in my early twenties, I liked mudding more than technical wheeling because I'd rather deal with the mechanical issues from mudding than the body damage from technical wheeling. I didn't want my truck to look like a crushed beer can. Now I couldn't care less. I mean, I don't want the OGT to look like a stomped beer can, but a few dents and scrapes to prove I'm not afraid to take some risks I'm actually proud of.

 

I still lurk here even though I had to move to Louisiana God this state sucks.... Anyways: Anyone in Jax still? ill be there on Sunday, until the following tuesday if anyone wants to compare truck size.

 

Ya know, with cars and trucks pretty much being all weather vehicles with people getting in and out of them in the rain and snow with wet footwear/feet and driving though puddles and all that, I really have to wonder...who was the brilliant Effin' engineer Z(okay, maybe it was a good-for-nothing, buzz-kill, bean-counter that was behind it, but still) that decided it would be a good idea to use insulation on the bottom side of the carpet that holds 300x it's weight in water (especially in a 4WD truck)?!? Have they not heard of closed cell foam?



Pressure washed, insulation treated with CLR Mold and Mildew killer, and the carpet scrubbed with Tide and a scrub brush then hung up and rinsed with the pressure washer.I'm guessing it'll take a week to fully dry.

 

Dam 6 lug leafs are wayyyyy stiffer than my 5 lug leafs even with an aal in.

 

They are made to hold up a much heavier truck. Try taking a leaf out or trimming one shorter.

 

Naw I'm leaving it for now lol maybe I'll pull the overload one day and see. But for now the rear is ready for 35s now..... just need to get the front figured out
