Fogged headlights and house paint on my Taco!

Are any of the products to remove the haze from headlights any good?

Also, I managed to get interior latex (water based) splashes all over my Tacoma. It has dried completely. Any ideas how to get rid of it?

I have used oops to take of latex paint. It wont hurt auto paint. I have the meguiars head light cleaning kit and it worked great on my GF mustang.

 

Interior Latex should just peel off. Just use a fingernail, or something soft to start removing it. Follow it up with a good wash and wax.

 

Fogged headlights? any pics? I see you have an 09' could be warranty thing.

 

I am curious- Fogging like water vapor fog or yellowing/milky plastic outside the lens??

 

My 07 has one fogged headlight. It is a hazy film on one lens but not the other. 2 dealerships told me to stick it, but the second said to use MacGuires PlastX which I haven't gotten around to trying.

 

The fogged headlights are on a buddy's 00-ish Mustang, and they are almost completely white.

The paint is small drops, covering basically my entire rig, so I need to either hose it, and wipe it, or buff the entire thing.

 

i know what your saying. i have the same thing. it was overspray from a paint roller when i was painting a light pole at work. but mines oil based and i picked it all off except the roof. it comes off with your finger nail.

 

Fogged healights, try this (I assume you are no talking about moisture in the headlight).

I have also heard you can use toothpaste as the polishing compound.

Did you buy the truck new? The reason I ask is that I seen aftermarket headlights fog/dull quickly. If they only replaced one headlight, that will cause it. PS.. I use a good cleaner wax, should clear it up somewhat.

Really, it seems like your approach should vary a lot by how bad the fogging is.

EDIT: Oh, and if your going to use the protective coating make sure you either remove the headlight or mask it off really well. I got some of the clear stuff on the chrome of my bumper. It was a pita to get off without scratching it up.

The paint is my issue, and I picked up some Oops! today to give it a try.

 

I have used this stuff on previous cars and it worked pretty well for me.

 

I used the 3M headlight refinishing kit on a pair of fog lights I bought from someone on here. I have a 2010 and the fogs came of a 2006 (I think). The headlight refinishing kit worked very well...and the directions were easy to follow. The key is to seal the lenses once you've "de-fogged" them.
