battery replacement/upgrade?

    A battery isn’t going to last long in the Florida heat. Get whatever is cheapest. I do and mine last on avg. 7 years which is normal for a battery in Wisconsin!

    Wow! Actually, the guy did you a favor. Imagine how he could have screwed up other warranty work.

    Wait! Your truck has 20,000 miles. So, they have done warrantee work.

    I would have somebody check oil, filters, lubrication.

    You're not talking about any place in Asheville, are you?

    Buy the biggest battery warranty that comes with a battery attached, and you'll be fine. The actuaries that do the math make the engineers keep their end of the bargain.

    Spend the extra $$ on mods.

    A max of 333 stores for Trak Auto compared to the 6000 by Autozone isn't a the best comparison. The Toys-r-us would be a better comparison, but even that is pretty far off base.

    Na, it's a place in Oregon and honestly, I've never had any issues with them...they've never even given me a reason to raise an eyebrow so this was kind of surprising.

    Interstate has the best warranty, and I had good experiences with them professionally. Florida has crazy battery replacement statistics due to the climate.

    +1 for Autocraft AGMs from Advance. I have run them in both my other vehicles for a few years now and no issues whatsoever. Worked great in -12F last winter. I think they are a better value over the more expensive AGMs. I have also owned Optima (5 years ago) and was not impressed as it failed early.

    Yep, OEM battery is terrible especially with all my accessory RI led lighting, ARB cooler fridge and front & back constant power dash cameras. This summer I’m gonna install a dual battery set-up.

    This. Had to replace a battery on a Honda (still under warranty) while on vacation once. Made sure to keep the readout from the shop showing the poor voltage. Honda had no problems reimbursing the entire amount.
