Remember that one time you had a tundra, then sold it and got a tacoma, and then sold it and got a raptor? At least you still have your 1st gen! Its a BA truck too!

Anyone put a 17” sport wheel in the spare tire space with the hoist?

I didn't but, I would think that the size of the tire would be more relevant to it fitting or not. I did however, put a matched wheel and tire in there so I'd have a five tire rotation. (265/75-16)

As long as the tire ins't over a 265 or equivalent 32" tire it should fit. 33's and up will not unless you trim the brackets

It's gonna be with my 255/80r17 tire (Was planning on trimming/hammering) but was concerned with the lift mechanism itself and fitting on the wheel. Reckon there won't be a problem will just possibly just scratch up the outside of the wheel. Would you put the outside of the wheel up or down?

Face up I would think. That way the winch bracket thing would pull against the back of the wheel. If I remember right the bottom of the bed where it sits up against is relatively flat.

Depending on if you have Tpms or not. Pain if you're spare gets low...

Didn't even think about that. Now that I think about it, my factory spare must be face down because I distinctly remember airing it up while still mounted. But then again, I don't care how scratched or ugly that wheel gets.

I'd have the face of the tire point up towards the bed. That way rocks don't gash the face of the rim and the lift mechanism only messes up the inside of the rim. It's what I have done.

    Pffft what are TPMS?? :cookiemonster:
