I'm not sure about the sensor. You could at least have a valve stem that matches without the sensor.

The downside to an upright is if it's not frostfree, the humidity will build ice much quicker since the air flows into it when the door is open. With a chest, not nearly as much humid air flows in when the door is open. I regret not getting a frostfree upright years ago.

Flipside to an upright. If it thaws out(hope that never happens to you), it'll drain out and down. Not fun to come home to.
Atleast with a chest it would be self-contained mess.

Happened to a family member once back in the day.
Poor bastard got home at 2am after being gone for 3 weeks.

Garage-mounted freezer,,, and since mine is not frostfree I have to defrost it every couple years, and it draining onto the garage floor is a bonus for me.

Sounds like either low or no refrigerant and to go with that, no lubrication for the compressor. Could also be filter dryer clogged, which means something has clogged it that broke down internally.

 

Or get a used TPMS and not worry about having it programmed, at least it will match.
