    Are the Tacoma’s like the tundra’s, year specific on the tpms?

    Not necessarily year specific. Different angles for alloy wheels and steel wheel. I think steel is 60* and alloy is 40*.

    Air brakes!! Nice! You can stuff that full of all kinds of meat.
    I would think that, with Texas humidity, they'd all be frost-free. I can't imagine what would have happened to mine if it wasn't.

    Yeah it was trying to run this am. Figure I'll mess with it later and if it gets to running again, I'll have mucho freezer space :bananadance: or sell it, but can't have too much storage...

    I'm all about that! Will see what I can do with the old one to get it up again later

    Hey @Texoma
    I am installing my rear bumper when I get home and it will hold my spare. From everything I could find on this site I cannot program a 5th TMPS. Is that correct?

    Definitely NOT. At the time, since I was upgrading from a chest freezer with no defrost, I cheaped out and got one without the frostfree stuff thinking, "wasn't needed on the other one, why pay more......" Again, not a great decision.

    I should have taken a few pics of the "before" when I just defrosted it this last Sunday. Well over half the space iced over and several item completely encased. Didn't help that I have kids that occasionally don't make sure the door is closed and it is partially open for an hour or two. :annoyed: Even without the kid action though, I have had 1/4 to 1/3 iced up. One of these days the cheapness will override the PITA factor and will get replaced.

    :thumbsup::thumbsup:

    You should be just fine, I would just highly recommend it when garage placed in this humid pit of summer dispare. If it's inside, or you lived in the desert or someplace with dry air, I wouldn't think it would be a problem.

    It is garage stored. I'll keep an eye on it. The old chest freezer hardly built up any ice over the past summers.

    Yup, the old chest I had wasn't any problem. It's when you actually think about the door placement and airflow when open that it makes perfect sense. Top door, when it's open the cold air stays put and you get a little bit of hot air in the top after you close it. Front door, when it's open the cold air flows out the bottom and pulls the hot humid air in from the top. When you close the door, it has much more hot humid air inside.

    ...most of you don't care about this, but science bitches!

    My 20 cu ft upright lives in the garage. We had the house built so that there would be a spot in the garage with its own 15 amp breaker just so the freezer would have its own circuit. Last house didn't have that, and nothing worse than coming home Sunday afternoon from a weekend trip and finding out that the garage breaker tripped...on Friday. So far, 5 years on a dedicated circuit and no issues at all.

    I haven't had luck with programming a 5th sensor, but then again, I didn't try very hard either because I really didn't care that much. Best bet is to ask the dealer if they can do it because most tire shops don't have the ability to program it unless a fifth one came stock.
