I still can't believe what they did to the good citizens of New Orleans during Katrina… confiscating firearms from people just trying to protect thier homes and families… I would not willingly have given mine up just at the moment when I needed it the most. Not sure what I would have done.. Hard to believe that happened in this country.

I'll never forget when I first moved to Phoenix, I went into a circle k one evening to grab something to eat. In front of me in line, there was a guy wearing a bullett proof vest with some sort of rifle strapped to his chest! To quote Bob Seger, "I knew right then I was too far from home!"

I use my CCW almost all the time...it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it...

...besides...you never know when you'll have to save some gun-hatin' liberal from an armed bad guy... ;-)

Over the years most of the women I've dated were not into guns if not outright opposed to them however when we were camipng far from civilization and she heard some scary noise out in the nighttime woods the first thing out of her mouth was "Do you have your gun?" Like she had to ask...

Most states it's legal to carry a firearm openly - I'm pretty sure CA included.

I’ve never had to discharge my weapon in defense but once far out in the woods camping withy my girlfriend some dirtbags came around looking for trouble saying derogatory remarks about my lovely girl until the noticed the 45 on my hip… They left promptly after that though my weapon never left its holster. It’s amazing how that works…

The new Ga law says it has to be concealed in the restaurant. And the rest. can post a sign prohibiting guns.

What he said... Personally I hope never to have to use a firearm against another human being, but I absolutely will not allow another to harm me or my loved ones…. And while I love my Taco, I would not use deadly force to protect it so I would not shoot you as you drive out of my driveway in my stolen truck… But try crawling trough my window at night or kicking my door down or even think about harming the humans I love and would not hesitate to remove you from the gene pool…

Drunken fools who thought they could intimidate a couple of campers in an isolated spot…. It was summer and my girl was wearing a skimpy outfit and thought it okay to make rude comments. I asked them to please not speak that way to her and they took this as a challenge and started to get out of their vehicle… then they saw I was armed and it changed their attitude very quickly…. And that is the deterrent affect. I never threatened nor brandished; just let them know that we were not victims. It’s amazing how sobering the thought of being shot can be to a belligerent drunk intent on mischief.
