I really like the moon-roof in my 2016 DC LB OR :)
If I was buying a new truck today I would do it again for sure.

I've read some posts from the tall folk around here complaining about the headroom.

I'm 6'1" and fit perfectly. (so if you are my size or shorter you will be just fine as far as headroom goes if you are taller i'd make sure you fit first)

With that said my buddy who is 6'4" rides with me all the time and has never complained but maybe he is just happy to be going for a ride or perhaps just being polite?

The biggest mistake Toyota made on the 3rd gen was adding the moon roof. For anyone over 6 foot saying they fit fine, I imagine they don't take very long trips. You would have to set it up just so, that way you don't rest your head on the headliner. Even then, if you hit a speed bump, you're definitely going to nail it.

For those of us that don't have them, you're stuck with a stupid looking roof that's insanely loud during heavy rain. It also flexes like crazy when you wash or wax it. I'm hoping I don't crease it accidentally pushing too hard. They obviously only have one mold, it leaves the portion where the moon roof goes without the ridge's that give it strength. Too bad they cut corners.

I am 6'3". I fit, but that may only be because I shave my head. If I had hair, I would not fit. That being said, my head does brush up against the headliner that sticks down at the edge of the sunroof. Luckily, I do not drive this truck much. I am usually the passenger. The passenger seat I can move all the way back, and recline the seat enough to give me some room.

    Thank you for your service.

As for the moon roof, I don't have one and I didn't want one. One I did test drive did have the sunroof however I could tell the roof was a bit lower, as I'm not the tallest person (5'10) - I could see taller people feeling uncomfortable at times.

I have owned other vehicles with a sunroofs and always kept them closed.

Can’t go wrong with a sunroof. I searched the entire south east to find a super white with sunroof in a 2017. Didn’t want that TSS crap

What’s your definition of tall? I’m 6 foot 2 and have no issues with the head room

I'm 6'1. I went over a speed bump and nailed my head on the headliner. I guess if you're fine leaning way back. But if you sit with correct posture, your head has to be resting on it.

Had one on my 2000 Tacoma, had it for 16yrs,never leaked.have a 2017 offroad and have a moonroof.i use mine! My parents’ 2000 Camry has a moonroof, never leaked and not leaking now. My dad’s 87 4RUNNER had a moonroof and the removable fiberglass top. I believe his moonroof did crack after 11 or 12yrs and had it replaced, but it never leaked..
Get what you want! I prefer air flowing, even if it is a truck!

The airflow you can get by cracking the roof and rear window is amazing. Worth.

    Wrong.

Has less to do with height and more to do with legs:torso. Maybe you just have a longer ass torso.

Also, are you going WOT over speed bumps?

6'1 34 inch inseam. About 2 miles an hour over whatever speed bump was in the dealership parking lot. I've got about 5 inches to spare in my wife's rav4 with a sunroof. The Tacoma's roofline is way to short for someone to think it was a good idea to put one in.

Ok, this is weird, I know...I’m 6’2” and 32” inseam, so I assume that means my torso is 3” longer than yours and I’ve got no problem with the moon roof height. Now, granted if I shoved a stick up my butt, my head would be through the roof, but I don’t sit that way. And i don’t think I’m slouched over like a slug, idk maybe I am. Point is, this is all very subjective and to each their own.
