Yankee Hill is so close if you'll get in trouble you can post here and the "TW rescue Calvary" can bail whoever out. Maybe we can get another Demo by @Gramps on how he can turn Night into Day but skip @3378jakesr5 perfecting his snow bank stopping technique.

The main road to St. Mary, yes? I know the main road isn't long, but the idea is to hit multiple trails while up there that are attached or nearby.

Was I not clear in the explanation?

A small handful of select mods.
The actual Yankee Hill trail should only take a couple of hours max. If you cruise up Fall River Rd. consider doing Kingston Peak and then connecting to Yankee Hill via 175RD spur. Of course that is only if Kingston Peak is open.

Sorry I am booked up with a house project this weekend and a couple of family birthday parties to attend. Otherwise I might have been able to attend your adventure.

As you know, Winter puts a crimp in our runs but this statement is extremely miss-leading, maybe you missed stuff with all the BSing. @YamaDirtrider, @Tacoma SS and some others have already organized stuff in here.

Only thing I've seen is Yankee to shoot guns in the last few months. Nothing wrong with that but I'd rather go wheeling be the primary objective and shooting secondary.

I am out of town this weekend for Memorial Day, but starting next weekend I am down to go with you. I was new here about 3 years ago and remember having a hard time learning new trails and finding people to do them with. To be honest, I still dont feel like I have seen many trails or met as many people as I thought I would have by this point in my stay. Im always down to meet new people that like to wheel and camp. Yankee is big enough to enjoy for a day and camp that night but not so big that you can get lost forever and ever without anyone being able to find you.

My experience in the winter months is that most of Yankee is not accessible. But I agree with you that that seems to be the main draw lately.

slaugterhouse is still closed for mud season till the 31st of may.

Yankee hill was packed the last time @Tacoma SS and I went up. It's extremely popular and one of the first trails people seem to flock to as weather starts to break. You will not be alone on this trail.

I was actually thinking heading out there to see if Kingston Peak is open and hiking up to James Peak. If not...there's always the trip I never took in march...Pickle Gulch, Dakota Hill, and Jenny-Lind Perigo are some of my favorites around Rollinsville.
