No problem. The aero press was the best. It’s so easy to use and super easy to clean up. Way better than a French press. Also, thank you :hattip:

I have about 3-4 different yemen coffee stored for roasting. Very small, and hard, beans. The resting period, after roasting Yemeni coffee, is 10 days before drinking, rather than the usual 2-3 day.

    http://www.coffeereview.com/coffee-...origins/coffees-from-africa-and-arabia/yemen/

I had not realized it is so hard to get now. I am glad I got mine.

I trust Sweet Marias. What they write about what they sell is always true. It is where I got started almost 10years ago.

The popcorn popper works great, IF YOU ARE USING THE RIGHT POPPER. Some machines are not powerful enough to last, or built in a way to roast. Never use one with a screen on the bottom. It is a fire waiting to happen.
The Best is the original West Bend Poppery. The West Bend Poppery II had a transformer to reduce the voltage in the machine. They work very well also. Remove the plastic top, and add a soup can.
The problem with them is the lack of adjustment to actually profile a coffee. A ROUTER SPEED CONTROL can be added to adjust the heat and a DIMMER to adjust the fan. Adding a thermometer also helps to know what is happening in the bean environment.

Life is too short to drink bad coffee.

Was great. I gave it away though.

Black Rifle Coffee, $13-15 dollars a bag, ain't no coffee that damn good. My hats off to their marketing department being able to convince buyers that it is. Put shit in a cool bag with cool names and people will buy it.

Will vouch for this as well. Didn't have the same model. Just get a ceramic burr grinder and you're set.

Ditto. Hario is a good one.
When I travel I switch the glass jar with a plastic jar. Like mayonnaise or peanut butter jar.

New (or Old vintage) wooden box, burr grinders, 'Made in Germany', are good too. Like Zassenhaus brand.

I have a few of the older Zassenhaus grinders, including an all brass Turkish Grinder.
They are more than just a pretty face.

For camping I use an old Salter hand grinder. It can clamp to a table top but I made a stand for it. Doesn't produce the evenest of grounds but better than most hand grinders. Like having the freshest coffee even while camping.

Nice, I have a Salter mounted on a shelf above the stove.
So, it is more than a decorative piece?

Ken, I see that you're a homeroaster too. So you must know Tom the guru of all things coffee and roasting. Well he gave the Salter a pretty good review years ago when he sold them. The link takes you to his review page of discontinued items, scroll most of the way down to find his review of the Salter. Works well for me, would kill me to have to pre-grind my beans before a camping trip.

Thank you. I may have to bring it down.
Do you like the stand you made?
I might like that better camping than the Hario. When I am sharing my coffee ... I have the recipient, of my coffee brew, GRIND the coffee. I do not want to grind 10-15 cups of pour-over.

I have never gotten a bad bean from them, ever.

Same here. 20+ years of getting my green beans from them and never disappointed. Stand is ok, scrap 2x6 and 1x6 dadoed, glued and screwed. Wanted something stable and I could use sitting down. Thought about hooking up a cordless drill to it but that would be just more stuff to drag around. Plus I only do a cup or two at a time.

    stock (for now)
The reason i'm so eh about buying a bag my thoughts exactly, a lot people who I see drinks this stuff put a shit ton of cream and sugar and call it good coffee. But then again i haven't tried it yet so i'm not gonna knock it till I try it just my first impressions. Don't get it twisted either i'm all for supporting veterans!

On a different note with hot summer creeping up anybody big on cold brew?

Some coffee is a lot better than others. I buy green, so not that much. Some exceptions are some gesha beans I got.

Cold brew. I like. Grounds in water, in the fridge, for 16 hours.

Just started drinking coffee this week.
I'm 50 and have had some issues with my liver lately. After some research, I've found that along with my change in diet for cleansing the liver, coffee is on the list of items used to help cleanse it.

Also, the smell of coffee reminds me of my grandfather when I was a kid. :)
