HVAC vents. I leased vehicles for several years and found that I really liked the round a/c vents and really didn't like the rectangular style. The round ones are much easier to point exactly where I want them and easier to close if I don't want any airflow.

Although a Tacoma was high on my list of possible new vehicles already, one of the critical deciding factors was the round vents. They were kinda like when cup holders first came on the scene to me.

    Anybody else feel the same?

I wonder why the rectangular ones still exisit.

Round, square, oval, diamond..... they all blow cold air. Good enough for me. Only thing I hate is the chrome ring around it.

But you can't partially close them without changing the direction, which is something I miss.

Yep, I wouldn't have bought a new Tacoma if they came with rectangular vents. ...

It's not limited to a 2D plane. But I'm just answering the what's a tube shape question like a smartass.
