For those who are running retrofits, do you have them connected to a fuse/relay box?

They should already have those. I know they have an inline fuse and should have an inline relay setup already

Don’t know how it isn I. Cali. But as long as it’s not a weapon you turn into an nfa item, you can mill out an 80% lower to a functional gun. It just can’t be sold to another individual

Couple reasons. 1) I'm trying to get as much base line info and experience as I can before I throw a blower on. 2) I'm not sure my computer will even work with the F/IC, so I want to find out before the blower to hopefully have less down time. 3) I tried the Volvo MAF mod and it didn' work. I'm hoping the F/IC will alow me to tune it to work, which will facilitate answers to all three items.

I would put your manifold reference line in between the FPR VSV and the manifold.

Yup, that's the one. When you go turbo or SC you'll likely want to remove that VSV too, only the really early models had them, so they could trim fuel down at idle and as soon as throttle was applied they would go to atmosphere. But that's really unnecessary and it's easier to just remove it so the FPR is Boost/Vacuum referenced.

Well you won't be able to do much with it NA besides make your mileage worse most likely. But it'll work just fine with your motor and ecu. You just might have more work cut out for you once the blower goes on in terms of tuning it than others would.

Zane already told you the best spot to get the ref from.

I'd put a washer on that, it'll just hog out the hole in the hilift otherwise

I've heard of the FPR mod for the 2nd gen Tacomas but is this something we can do on 1st gens too?

Quoted from the 2nd Gen Tips, Tricks and Mods thread...

    - FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) mod: A simple (and free) mod which allows you to boost reference your fuel injectors at 1:1 ratio. Remove your hose running from the intake air cleaner, cap off the now open air cleaner port to avoid unmetered leaks, and reconnect the open end of the hose to the boost port behind the two coolant lines at the supercharger.

Is it the same process for us?
