    So it's a no go. It wasn't as nice as I had hoped for. We looked at 2 others since we were out here. All of which didn't fit in some way.

    Bummer. You'll find something. Here, every nice house that goes for sale, people fight over and they end up offering tons over what the asking price was. That's how we missed out on a really awesome place.

    Old and was apparently superficially remodeled. Not to mention the crime in my area is skyrocketing. I spent quite a few summers in SoCal as a teen listening to the ghetto bird (police helicopter) circling my uncles condo. Didn't really bother me. But now with kids I can't fucking stand it and it's happening more and more. A few weeks ago the police chased a burglary suspect threw my neighbors yard. This place has gone to shit in the last 10 years.

    Can relate, we had similar stuff happening like that where I grew up right down to guy getting tackled by police in our backyard. Pur house got broken into, within a year my family moved.
