I tried looking up "medium duty", no luck. Anyways, which shocks did you use, soft or stiff?
Btw, I'm not quite ready to drop 2Gs on suspension just yet, but I'm trying to figure out which way to go when time comes.
    Thanks

For those with the soft struts - the ome90021s - what did you go with for coils and why?

By looking at it, except for the 886, they all have the same spring rate but different height

I went with what ARB USA recommended for what I was trying to achieve. I am doing a hidden winch bumper and I am getting a roof tent so the medium setup comes with the 90021s and the 888 coils

So I think my plan is going to be going with the soft ride shocks, 887 coils, and light duty dakar leaf pack.

I had sliders now, with probably just do aluminum skids, and if I do a number, it will be the slim line type....

Most likely gonna do with headstrong for the kit cause they are close to the cheapest price and free shipping....

Anyone one know of anyone having a labor day sale???

I recommend calling first and seeing if they have them in stock. I called 7 different stores and they all said in stock on their website.....but Toytec were the only ones that had the whole kit available too ship.

Headstrong may not "stock" everything. When I ordered they use Drop shipments from the manufacturer for some of the items(leafs came straight from ARB and maybe the UCA's also). Still fast delivery and as most have experienced great customer service.

You are correct, the issue is that they all told me that getting stuff from ARB is thanking around 4 weeks. All I am saying is do some research and save the headache. Not trying to steer you in a different direction, just trying to help.

    Your access cab looks awesome!

How long have you been running the 888s without your bumper and winch? How much front lift did those coils give you before the bumper and winch? I have an access cab also and i'm looking at the 888 coils. Every shop i have talked to said that it would lift a stock access cab to much (2.75") and would ride like shit until i purchase my bumper. How does yours ride?

Been running them for about 9 months now. The ride doesn’t suck. It is firmer than stock for sure, I like the ride. The 888 is the medium setup and i still have not installed my winch or hidden winch mount. Yeah it gave me about 2.5ish of lift. If you go full bumper with winch, you may want to do the 886 heavy coils. If I go full bumper later I will get the heavy coils.

2.5 is right around where i want to be and i would rather not mess with top plate spacers and such. Are you running after market UCAs? Also did you do the install your self?

I am running SPC UCA and no, I did not do the install myself, at the time I was living in an apartment complex with nowhere to do work.

I went with the full 2” OME medium kit. My rake is a bit high in the back with the full Dakar’s. I think it is about 1.5-1.75 inches higher in the back than the front. I’m running 265/75 r16 Falken wilpeak AT3’s. I am also running aftermarket SPC UCAs

I have a question for anyone with the OME lift on here.

There is a 3/4” top plate spacer that sits above the front shock (not inside to compress the coil). Lowrangeoffroad.com makes it. Should I get this spacer to even out the stance, or will this damage or cause concern for anything?

I do not have my kit yet but have you considered reducing the lift in the rear instead of increasing it in the front? I believe if you purchase the complete medium kit your rear leafs are the EL095R. If you are just running a stock load in the bed then you may be getting extra lift from your leafs creating the extra rake. You could consider removing the third leaf to lower the rear end. Below is a snip from ARB Specifications.

    • Stock loads (0lbs to GVM, optimal performance at loads of 0-300lbs) *Removal of third leaf required
    • Constant 300lbs (300lbs to GVM, optimal performance at loads of 300-600lbs)
    • Constant 600lbs (600lbs to GVM, optimal performance at loads of 600lbs plus) *Extra leaf required
      • The removal or addition of a leaf spring would need to be completed for those individuals knowing that their rear load scenarios would be lighter or heavier than the constant 300+ lbs load the spring is designed around.
